As I sat in my room and watched the rain drizzle down my window, I heard the front door open then slam shut. I quickly jumped under my covers hoping that my door wouldn't open, but of course, why would luck be on my side? As my door creaked open I heard his deep, cruel voice echo in the almost silent room causing my blood to run cold, the only other sound being the rain pouring from the sky.
