That same night, Leigh read the book in one sitting and devoured its one hundred and eighty six pages of absolute perfection. Instead of dinner, she curled up in bed with hot cup of tea and a packet of Tim Tams and read.

            She read.

            And read.

            And read.

And fell in love with the story.

She had been using the note as a bookmark but now that she had finished reading, she stared at the messy handwriting and the name signed at the bottom: Noah.

How was it possible that a stranger had known her favourite book before she had?

She wasn't sure which boy was Noah. There were many regulars at the library. There was the boy with the laptop who always sat in the corner, constantly adding to his fan fiction story. There was the guy with the green eyes who did a combination of homework and comic strips, all done on the same page. Then there was the boy with the glasses and messy hair who sat three seats behind her and always had his head down. A million candidates ran through her mind and she wondered who it could be.

She wasn't sure, but she wanted to find out.

Leigh opened the drawer of her bedside table and pulled out some glue. After carefully tracing a sticky edge around the back of the note, she gently smoothed it out into her journal.

Then she spent the rest of the night dreaming about a boy she hadn't even met yet.
