"For the last time momma no." I whined.
"Jodie! I refuse to let you drop out of college your freshman year just because your tuition!" I begin to pout over the phone as she continued her rant.
"But momma I don't want you getting another job you work enough, I'll find another job!" I said the phone went silent for a moment until she sighed.
"Fine Jodie, but I'm giving you to the end of this month to find one, if not you're coming back home and you will go to the community college here." I rolled my eyes and huffed.
"Okay momma."
"Mhm, I'll speak to you later today Jojo, I love you."
"Love you to ma." I said and hung up letting the phone drop on the bed.
I knew my mother heart was in the right place but I couldn't see myself coming home. When I got away from Alabama I was thrilled and even more excited that it was the school I've been dreaming bout since grade school. I was terribly behind in my tuition payments and I was denied for a loan, I had a job working at Victoria Secrets but my boss was a complete ass so I quit. My mother is now telling me she wants me to move back home and go to the community college where she'll help out by adding another job on top of the two she already has.
I refuse to move back to Alabama and I wasn't letting my mother get another job so I just have to find a job. I look down at my phone that read 12:45 PM and decide to gone and get the day started. I walked out my room only to grow slightly irritated to see my roommate and her aggravating ass friends laughing as if Kevin Hart was in the room. I shook my head and begin to walk out the door only to hear the laughters stop.
"Hey Jojo." Monica my roommate said smirking. I've known this girl for seven months and I couldn't stand her. She has to be the most disgusting, disrespectful, slowest girl I've ever encountered and I really wanna know how did she get in to this school.
"It's Jodie and hi." I said as walk out our dorm without another word. Today was very hot but I've always been a summertime girl so I wasn't complaining. I walk down the stairs till I was out the dormitory and eventually was walking on Clark campus.
As I walked I got a few "Wassup's" and "Hey" from people I've met and people who were just being friendly until I heard my name being yelled.
"Damn you walk fast Jojo."
