Over the past 12 years, the United States has been following the journey of NASA astronaut and astrologist Jaden Moore, the first astronaut to ever travel outside of our solar system's borders. Yesterday, her journey was drawn to a satisfactory close. Moore reported back to the administration, announcing her arrival on the planet Avian-3349b. She quickly reported this exoplanet as being much more intricate than we had first believed. Previously, we had known that this planet was a container of basic animal life, such as the iconic Fresa dragon. However, upon her arrival, Moore was shocked to discover this planet's heavy molecular atmospheric makeup to be hiding not one, but 2 types of intricate life.

Moore reports through her intercom system, which found a spectacular signal coming from somewhere in the planet's core, "It completely took me by surprise- I already knew that this planet had huge amounts of potential, but finding these green creatures trying to interact with me, and showing surprise; I could barely contain my excitement. Seems like living here might not be too lonely after all. It's definitely a worthy place for us to migrate, I would start right now."

NASA's technology has found that there seems to be a huge amount of connection to the creatures on this planet, one especially. These creatures have been labeled as the Homogenous floralis and the Aquatica hominum. They may also be casually called Leaflets and Aquasprites. The Leaflets have been picked up on the cameras and may be described as human-like creatures containing some anatomy traits of plants, their most defining trait being a species of leaf on the head's top. The Aquasprites have the same basic body layout as a human as well- along with a tail, and thin scales lining the body. It has been observed that Aquasprites spend lots of time in the water, and are able to stay submerged for almost 15 minutes, suggesting they either have a long-term breath-holding ability or can breathe water.

Within the next 3 months, candidates will be selected to travel off of Earth, and take the same journey as Jaden Moore. Currently, the French and United States governments (selected as of Moore's French descent and American work) are selecting which groups they plan to send. The astronaut has stated that she requests her family to be included, which was happily approved. Currently, NASA plans to send 3 massive ships to this planet, containing different groups. One of which is the Monarch. This is an exclusive sip, containing government officials and people in high positions from around the world who would like to use this possible opportunity to continue their cultures. The currently rising religion, Skeletism, is being considered for this ship. Another ship being sent is the Ark, which is going to contain thousands of many different animals, especially endangered ones like the axolotl, or the giant panda. Finally is the Core, containing the working class. This is mainly made up of the most crucial jobs, such as doctors, lawyers, teachers, etc. However, many of the lower class workers will also be included. Officials are also considering hosting a lottery, in which 15 or so families of random occupations will be selected if they choose to enter.

All in all, the country is having high hopes for our future on this planet. However, there has a been a bit of protest coming from lower class citizens around this migration. Once this wipeout has reached its peak, and the world reaches its predicted end- what happens next?

"Hey, Es?"

The girl looking into the mirror with pure concentration, applying eyeliner, allowed her one open eye to drift sideways for a moment, acknowledging her sister's presence in the room.

"Hm?" She let out a small noise of approval as if signaling for the younger girl to continue.

In a small voice, she went on with her question.

"So... when humans were still back on Earth, did they have to do this training, like me? I mean, I'm only 11... it just feels sort of... unnatural." The girl's head faced the floor a little. You could see how uncomfortable she was, even if the only thing telling this was the animated eyes on her face's transparent screen.

Esmeralda turned her body around to face her sister. Although she was only 15, and a quite skinny teenager at that, her face was still quite pronounced and could make you feel inferior. This ability was currently in action, as she spoke to the younger girl.

"Tristan, what a silly question to ask, of course not. People back in that era were ignorant, they didn't know how to deal with things like war like we do. There was no democracy or liberation. It's been hundreds of years since we left, and we aren't going back to those dark times."

At the next sentence, her eyes only grew more intense than ever.

"This is the first time we've had a battle like this, and you have been chosen to be our representative. Fix your posture"

Tristan immediately jumped up a bit, drawing her shoulders back the way Es had taught her, rewarding her with a smile of approval. She still had the scared expression in her eyes though. Out of anxiety, the water in her fishbowl head started to bubble, prompting the large goldfish inside to swim an extra excited lap. She stuttered out a reply.

"I-I haven't even been picked yet, and I'm not going to be picked either. I mean, training just started, and I'm already failing. I haven't been able to get a good hit on anyone, and whenever I do I just feel so bad and-"

The older girl stood up, and Tristan stopped speaking. Striding over to the girl, the high heels of her laced sandals clicked against the floor. Seeing Esmeralda walk was simply mesmerizing- the signature Moore family dress had a way of gliding over the floors, and making the girl wearing it look like an ocean. Unlike Es, Tristan did not desire this fashion- it was quite uncomfortable, and was on occasion revealing. Now standing over the sitting girl, she kneeled down and stared into the girl's eyes.

Come on Tris, just keep eye contact, she'll like that...

"Listen. No matter how you do, you're gonna be our gladiator. And you know why?"

Yeah, because I'm a Moore, and the Moores are perfect and have to be too.

She shook her head no.

"Because you are a Moore. And Moores are destined for great things, just like you. I'm going to be our youngest president, and you are going to the one who stops the war in 10 years. Right?"

Tristan's eyes drifted away for a moment before snapping back to her sister.

"Right."

But why me? Why not someone who's willing to kill for greatness?"
