One by one, cats entered the forest clearing. This land they all gathered on, the tied land, was a small island connected by a small strip of land. They all walked silently on their paws, ears searching for sound. Finally they all gathered and sat in a circle, all silent and heads lowered. Finally one cat stepped forward, "Once," she spoke clearing and her voice echoed through the clearing. "Fire saved the clans of the past. And once again, fire will save the forest." She looked around at the other cats, who whispered and cast worries glances at each other. "Are you sure Silverecho?" One of the cats asked, stepping forward. Silverecho, a sleek silver and white tabby nodded her head, "I'm positive. Starclan spoke to me just a few nights ago when I went to the moon pool." The other cats seemed full of panic, talking in hushed nervous voices and looking around in fear. "But," Silverecho spoke loudly again, silencing the other medicine cats. "The last time Starclan said fire, they only meant a cat. It could be the same thing here." The cats seemed to relax at her statement, nodding. The cat who spoke out before, Fawnwing, let out a calming sigh. "Everyone. Go back to your clans, speak nothing of this prophecy to them. After tonight, we will not meet. Not till the Gathering. Now go." She commanded to the others, and with a dismissing flick of her tail the cats began to separate. Fawnwing turned to Silverecho, eyes shinning under the moon. "Silverecho, if Starclan speaks again, will you tell me?" She spoke so quietly that not even a mouse could hear her. Her old friend, her blue eyes looking past her, to the other medicine cats heading off to their respected clans and nodded faintly. "Yes. But only to you. Now, I must go. May Starclan light your path and protect your clan." Silverecho said and touched her nose to Fawnwing's cheek before dashing off the island into the brush , leaving Fawnwing along in the clearing. Silverpelt shining above the young cati up to silverpelt, home of all warrior ancestors, She let out a soft prayer. "Starclan, protect this forest. We need it. Then the tortoiseshell cat, fled to her own clan, eyes wide in the fear of the future.
