The flowers smelled beautiful, of course they did, everything had to be perfect. It was the day of Alexander Lightwood's wedding to Magnus Bane who Alec had met ten years ago, and was finally able to marry in Shadowhunter gold.

"Daddy!" Alec felt something tug on his tux, and he looked down to find a little blue monkey grinning mischievously up at him.

Alec gasped in shock, Max Michael Lightwood Bane, his ten year old son, was wearing a sparkly green cocktail  dress and tiaras adorned his curling horns.

"Do you like my dress?" Max asked, his eyes questioning, as if Alec's answer meant the world to him.

"Did  Daddy put you in that? " Alec replied.

Max looked confused "Of course you didn't."

Alec sighed "No, I mean Magnus, did he make you wear that?"

"It was my choice, Daddy just helped, and you didn't say if you liked it or not"

"Uh, you look beautiful. "Alec told his son.

Max arched his back and smiled proudly, strutting off toward where Isabelle was straightening Simon's tie.

Alec stormed off in search of Magnus.

Soon Alec found Magnus in the dressing room, touching himself up.

"Magnus, I can't b...believe  you..."Alec choked and stared at Magnus as he took him in.

Magnus wore a golden dress that  fell dramatically to the floor and and hung around him.It was completely drenched in glitter from head to toe.His veil as delicate as faeries wings, (which was also gold and glittery)floated around him, and his hair had an aura made of gold.

"What do you think?" Magnus purred, spinning round in a twirl.

"I...Uh.." Alec stuttered. "I...You...You know it's bad luck to see the bride before a wedding."

" For you there is an exception." Magnus strutted over to Alec, his dress floating behind him. He kissed Alec on the mouth.

"It's okay." Magnus reassured his fiancee. "Everything will work out fine."
