Chugging down the tracks of old
Comes the train with black smoke
Stepping onto the car
Passengers around me from afar
As the train halts and lets out a choke
The dining car is a delight
Spices and sweets filling the air
Taking a large bite
As day turns to night
The only one who seemed to care
The clouds fill the sky, stars twinkling
The train chugs down past the green valleys
A thump in the dark
Silence disappearing with a spark
The character never making it past the alley
The gunman was never found
The passengers all seemed clean
Four other suspects about
One succeeding without doubt
As blood stained the floor of the machine
