My eyes slowly opened. Chaos was still unfolding around me. I looked over to my left and saw tyler was helping other people."good he's not hurt." I thought. I slowly got up. Everything hurt. Pain racked through my body and I got on my feet. I looked into the crowd. The first thing I saw was people helping other injured victims. Mothers and fathers calming children. Friends helping other friends. Couples holding eachother. Then it hit me. Y/n! She was standing right next to him when the bomb went off! I looked around frantically, then my eyes focused on a girl under a fallen pillar. I rushed offstage, not paying attention to the waves of pain washing over my body. I ran up to the pillar. It was her. She was unconscious and her body was covered in burn marks, cuts, and her nose and ears were bleeding. I gathered all my strength and pulled up the pillar. It wouldn't move. I tried pulling her out from underneath but she was pinned. I gathered enough people to roll it off of her. I picked her up bridal style and ran into the parking lot. There were police cars, fire trucks, and ambulances all blaring sirens. I ran over to an empty ambulance and helped put y/n in a stretcher. The emergency medics wanted me to stay so that my wounds could be tended to but I insisted on riding with her. She stayed unconscious the entire ride and into the emergency room where they wheeled her off to surgery and made me get treated. The doctor told me I had severe brushing but since the object that hit me was flat, the force evenly distributed throughout my body so nothing was broken. Now that my adrenaline was winding down, I could definitely feel what he meant. I went into the lobby and waited for a few hours for everything to die down.

My eyes fluttered open. And I felt everything. I groaned but I didn't hear anything. I knew that I made sound because I could feel my neck vibrate and I saw the nurses react but I couldn't hear anything. I moved around but there was no rustling of sheets. Panic washed over my body and I started to hyperventilate. I felt someone grab my hand and I looked over. It was Josh. He was mouthing words to me but his lips meant nothing to me as my panic grew more intense. I'm sure if I could hear right now the machines would be beeping out of control but right now the loudest thing in my ears was the unwavering silence. I felt a doctor put a mask over my mouth and nose and I slowly slipped into peace.

I waited for y/n to wake up after surgery. Her head was facing away from me but I could see her twitch and her eyes open. She let out what sounded like a grunt from pain. "Nurse could we up her painkillers?" I asked. They nodded and went over to the monitors when I noticed y/n moving around. Her eyes grew wide in fear and she started breathing really fast. I grabbed her hand to comfort her. "Hey don't worry, they're taking care of you, you'll be okay." Instead of calming down. I saw confusion and frustration cross her face and she started to panic more. "What's happening?" I asked the nurses who had started to flood into the room. "She seems to be having an anxiety attack." A nurse answered. I was confused and I could only watch as she flailed around, crying and screaming. The machines in the room made piercing shrieks and beeps until the doctor finally sedated her. "She seems to have suffered some deafness from her close proximity to the blast." The doctor explained to me. "Will her hearing come back?" I asked. He shook his head" We can't be for sure, these cases often vary." We both looked back at y/n. She seemed so peaceful. All I want to do is be there for her.
