I tried to stay up, once, twice, every night?
To see what wakes me at 4,
So scared to close my eyes that sleep became the enemy.
And you told me
Not to be so scared, because
Those shadows couldn't hurt me.
I let myself believe you
And now i lie awake every night
With this unexplainable heavy in my everywhere
And i can't cry any more.
Just be here or there and
Tell myself you wouldn't lie and
Try to slip away again
Into different lands filled with death.
