August POV:

My mama asked ta talk fa a few, so MeMe took my nieces upstairs ta my room and closed tha doe. I followed my mama ta tha livin' room and sat next ta ha. I already know what she finna talk about

Me: "Wassup ma?"

Sheila: "*sighs* Aug, I want chu ta get out these streets...dats wassup"

Me: "Ma-"

Sheila: "Nah. I'm talkin'. You listen. You needa stop. Ion wanna lose you, like I lost Mel. I can't and won't go through dat shit again. And it would be fucked up fa those lil girls up there ta lose dey uncle, too. You needa do what Mel said and do sum'n' wit music cuz I'll be damned if I go through dat shit again. And we both know Mariah would go crazy. You only 18, I want chu ta live yo life and live past 25 years old. Dis is New Orleans beybe. People don't make it dat far. And yo ass can't get a job wit all these damn tattoos. Matta fact..."

She smacks tha hell outta my head. Really

Me: "Ow ma!" I said rubbin' tha back of my head

Sheila: "Get out tha streets and fast. I mean dis shit. Ya undastand August Anthony Alsina, Jr.?

Me: "Yes ma'am. But ma...did you have ta hit me though?"

Sheila: "Hell yea nigga! Ya ass needed it. Na go get yo nieces so we can go"

I juss looked at ha. I swea' my mama crazy. I go upstairs and open my doe. Dey all sleep...except Mariah

Me: "Babe, wake'em up dey finna go"

She wakes'em up and I walk ova and pick up Kay-Kay. Lil girl a heavy sleepa lol. We walk downstairs, hug'em and kiss'em and dey leave. I close and lock tha door and Mariah walks off

Mariah: "Na...what did you say was gon' happen afta dey left?" She asked goin' upstairs

Me: "*laughs* Come back down hea'"

Mariah: "*laughs* No!"

Me: "Yo! Stop playin'!" I semi-yelled laughin'

Mariah: "Who said I was playin' *laughs*"

I jog upstairs and walk in tha room and she sittin' and tha foot of tha bed wit ha legs crossed. I walk ova and she pulls me down on top of ha

Mariah: "What took you so long?"

I juss laughed and kissed ha. I wrapped ha legs around my waist and she flipped us ova

Mariah: "I'm in control ta'night. You juss relax and enjoy dis. You on bed rest. I got dis"

So ya know I listened...

*Next morning*

Ya know. I could get used ta dis bed rest thang lol. I woke up dis mornin' wit Mariah still in my arms. It felt good ta have ha soft skin against mines. As I'm layin' in bed watchin' TV, ha phone goes off. It's a unknown numba. I ain't wanna answer it cuz it's ha phone. When ha phone stops ringin', she wakes up

Me: "Mornin' babe"

Mariah: "Mornin'" She said kissin' my chest "I enjoyed last night"

Me: "Which part?"

Mariah: "All of it *laughs*"

Me: "In dat case I agree wit chu" I said laughin'

Mariah: "Dats what happens when I take control of shit. When I take control, it's always fun" She said standin' up

Me: "Yeen aint lyin' bout dat" I said lookin' ha up and down lickin' my lips

Mariah: "*laughs* I'm finna go brush my teeth"

She walks in tha bathroom and ha phone goes off again

Me: "MeMe, ya phone goin' off. Again"

Mariah: "Juss let it ring. It's prolly dat unknown numba. Juss ignore it"

I get up and go in tha bathroom wit Mariah ta brush my teeth and wash my face. I turn around and walk out but she pulls me back

Mariah: "Babe, shower wit me?"

Me: "So na ya me ta shower wit chu..." I said laughin'

Mariah: "*laughs* Yes"

She was bitin' ha bottom lip so I instantly knew

Me: "Shiiid, yeen ain't got ask me twice"

*A hour later*

I loved dat shower. Matta fact dat was tha best shower I had in awhile lol

Me: "Beybe..."

I put my arms 'round ha waist and put my face in tha left side of ha neck. Dats ha hot spot. Ha legs almost gave out but she trynna play it off lol

Mariah: "Huh?"

Me: "We needa go ta tha mall"

Mariah: "Why?"

Me: "Cuz I need a new phone

Mariah: "Oh. 'Iight. Well, you can get ready and I'll cook you some breakfast. I'm not hungry"

Me: "'Iight"

While I got ready, she went downstairs ta cook. Even though she only in ha bra and panties lol

*30 minutes later*

When I walk out tha closet afta puttin' on my shoes, MeMe comes back in tha room

Mariah: "I'm done cookin' and go answer yo doe"

Me: "'Iight and why you ain't answer it?"

Mariah: "Uhh...hello" She said pointin' at ha body

Me: "*laughs* Oh yea...I fa'got. Get dressed. Ion want nobody seein' yo goodies"

Mariah: "*laughs* How-"

Me: "Juss get ready" I said laughin'

I run downstairs and go in tha kitchen. When I get my food off tha counter, I go sit in tha livin' room and put it on tha Wayans Bros. Then I rememba I gotta answer tha doe. I put my plate on tha tableand got up. I walked ta tha doe, looked through tha peep hole, and opened tha doe

???: "Umm...hi. Is Mariah Jones here?"

Me: "Uhh yea...hol' on. Oh, you can come in. Take a seat in tha livin' room and I'll go get ha"

She nods and sits on tha couch. I jog upstairs and Mariah tyin' a red bandana 'round ha head and pushin' ha hair back

Me: "Uhh babe. Somebody askin' fa ya"

Mariah: "Umm...gimme two minutes"

I nod my head and walk back downstairs

Me: "Uhh...she'll be down in a couple minutes"

???: "Okay thank you"

Me: "No prob. Ya thirsty?"

???: "Can I have a water please?"

I nod my head and go in tha kitchen and grab a water bottle out tha refridgerator and take it ta ha. But don't think I fa'got about my food cuz I didn't

Me: "Hea' ya go"

???: "Thank you"

I look up and see MeMe comin' downstairs wit ha hands in ha pockets

Mariah: "Bae, who's askin' fa m-"

She trailed off. It look like she seen a ghost. Na I'm curious fa'real

Mariah: "Oh. My. God."
