Sun shining through the open blinds causes the pale blonde to stir in her sleep as the bright yellow light forces its way past her eyelids. A soft groan falls from pink lips as the arms around her loosen, the Italian turning away from the small blonde as they both fight consciousness, only one succeeding in staying asleep.
"Damn curtains" Arizona growls, climbing from the bed, using her crutches to move over to the window, ripping the curtains closed, sighing in relief when the bright light is shut out. "How much did we drink?" She drops back on the bed and pulls the sheet up over her again, settling down against her girlfriends back. Hands join together in front of the Italian as Carina shuffles back into the blonde. "You awake?"
Carina hums and buries herself deeper into the bed and Arizona smiles against the Italians shoulder blade, kissing the skin there gently before leaning over the Italian
"Go back to sleep" Carina mumbles, shifting her head to look at Arizona. Hazel eyes finally meeting Blue, Arizona's smile widens, her contagious smile making Carina smile in return as she blinks heavily, still on the verge of sleep. "Mm, 5 more minutes, kay?" Carina whispers, her eyes shutting again.
"Okay baby" The blonde whispers, curling into the brunette Italian next to her.
"I love you"
"I love you" Arizona whispers, brushing a dark lock back behind Carina's ear before Carina turns fully into Arizona, burying her head into the blondes neck. Smiling softly as Carina falls back asleep, Arizona hums softly, running her fingertips down the Italians back slowly.
They've been officially dating for 7 months now and things have been going great, Sofia loves Carina and she loves how happy her Mom is with Carina. And Arizona is. She's unbelievably happy and that's how she knows it is all going to come crashing down around her.
She doesn't know when or how but she knows it will.

Arizona's POV
"Sof baby, breakfast" I call out, flipping the last pancake in the pan, turning around to finish setting the table. A pair of feet run down the stairs and I smile softly as my daughter enters the kitchen. "Morning Princess"
"Morning Mommy" I kiss her head before putting a plate down in front of her. I turn off the stove and remove the pancake from the pan, putting it on a plate and moving it to the table as Carina comes in through the back door.
"Good run?" I ask softly, squeezing her arm as we move past each other and she nods, grabbing a water from the fridge as I sit down across from Sofia.
She joins us at the table and looks at the pancakes, her face scrunching up. She stands up and quickly leaves the kitchen, muttering 'Excuse me'
"Babe?" She doesn't respond as I hear her move upstairs and I sigh softly, watching Sofia eat "I'll be back. Please don't choke on your food" She rolls her eyes at me playfully and I grin, pushing away from the table and going after Carina. "You okay?"
"Sì, I'll be down soon" She calls out from my bathroom and I sigh, pushing open the door "Arizona don't-"
"I'm not going anywhere, you're sick, let me help"
"I just pushed myself too hard this morning, double workout and all-"
"You weren't complaining earlier" I whisper as I sit next to her, rubbing her back gently "Maybe take it easy on the running for a bit, it's been a week of this"
"I like running, it relaxes me" She sits back from the toilet.
"For 2 hours every morning? I could relax you for 2 hours every morning instead and it would be fun"
"Are you really making sex comments right now? I've just thrown up, you should be grossed out"
"It's only vomit. I've seen worse at work. Please just take it easy on the running, I don't like seeing you sick"
"Okay"
"Have you finished emptying your stomach?" She nods and helps me stand up before washing her mouth out. "Are you hungry?"
"For your pancakes? Always" I smile softly and kiss her cheek before she takes my hand, stopping me from leaving the bathroom. "Arizona"
"Yea?"
"Thank you"
"For?"
"Being you"
"Always" I smile, kissing her gently "Wait...You've been sick all week" I pull my phone out and look at the date, my smile widening as I look up at her.
"What?"
"You're pregnant"
"What? No, it didn't-"
"Babe, take a test- I could be wrong" I pull a test out of the bottom cupboard and hand it to her "But it's been 4 weeks. Maybe we took the test to early. You've been throwing up once a day for the past week."
"I'm not pregnant" She sighs, "Arizona it didn't work. I'm not meant to be a mom"
"Take the test. And you will be an amazing mom, look how awesome you are with Sofia" She takes the box slowly and moves back over to the toilet, pulling the stick out and sighing.
"Don't get your hopes up because I'm not pregnant"
"Yea yea, hurry up" I bounce on the balls of my feet as she goes about doing the test and then we wait quietly for the 3 minutes to be over before she looks as I hold my hands together in front of my mouth.
"Pregnant" She whispers, turning to face me. "Oh my god Arizona!" She smiles happily and I pull her back to me, kissing her "We're having a baby"
"You're gonna be a mom" I whisper against her lips, caressing her stomach lightly "I love you"
"I love you too"

Posting because I need some cheering up, not only are two of my idols leaving my (now once) favourite show but my cat got hit by a car this morning and died and I was 3 hours away and didn't find out until after lunch so I didn't even get a goodbye and she is the most important thing in my life and it's a week until my 19th and it was her 3rd birthday last week and I haven't stopped crying since I found out so I need to share some Carizona love because they make me happy
