Chapter 22

(Zilly's POV)

"Gidion!" I yelled happily as I ran and gave him a hug. "Hey kid" he said as he hugged me back, when we let go I frown a little. "Where's Spencer?" I asked. "Oh ah he is on a case" he said "oh... why are you here?" I asked "I came to visit you" he said. "But it's not visitor day" I said. "That's okay, I have permission since you were sick on visiting day" he said. I smile and hug him again. "Want to play chess and chat with me?" He asked "sure!" I said and got the game out. He helped me set it up, we then sat down and began to play.

(Gidion's POV)

When I got here Zilly was happy to see me but was confused by why I was there when it wasn't visiting day. We got out the chest board and began to play, during the game she seemed sad and would let out a single tear here and there. "How are you and Samuel doing?" I asked her head snapped up, anger flashed over her face for a moment then it disappeared. "We broke up" she said "why?" I asked

(Flash back) (last night) (Zilly's POV)

I was getting ready for bed when out of nowhere Samuel walks in. "We can talk now" he said "we are broken up, there's nothing to talk about " I said I climbed up into my bed and sat there pulling my covers up. "Let me exsplain" he said I snapped my head towards him. "Fine, exsplain" I said he stood there for a moment. "Never mind" he says and starts to walk out. "You started this" I said he stops still facing the door. "I can't take you home, I'm never there, I'm always here, I can't trust you here, so there's no way I could trust you by yourself there, plus I'm married... well separated.. I'm trying to reconnect with my wife, and my daughter" he says this makes me angry and sad. "So what I was just your play thing? I loved you Samuel even when every part of me told me I shouldnt" I yelled "I loved .... he began "stop! Just stop... get out of my room... I hate you" I said throwing stuff at him. "Okay I'll go just know if you need anything I'm still around" he said "we broke up, it kinda means i quit counting on you" I said "babygirl..." He starts "it also means you can't babygirl me." I said he nods and walks out. Never once looking back. I once again cried myself to sleep.

(Gidion's POV)

As Zilly told me what happened tears rolled down her face. "What an ass" I said she giggled a little. We go back to our game and enjoyed the silence that surrounded us. "You know how you a ward of the state and how the courts deamed you unfit, that because of your mentle status. That the court says your not legally an adult until your 21?" I asked she nods her head. "Yeah" she said. "I want to adopt you" I blurt out. She looks up at me. "Really? Why?" She asked "yes, and because you deserve more then this, and Spencer already lives with me so you'll get to spend time with him while he is home, he can't adopt you because he's barely ever home. I've talked to your Bio dad and your other brothers, they are okay with it if you are, they want what's best for you" I said. "Wow... um wow... um yes! Yes! Yes! She said excitedly jumping out of her chair to hug me. I hugged her tightly. "Well alright! I'll get the process started, for now I need you to be good" I said "I will! I will!" She said

Soon I had to leave but promised to come back soon. When I left I had a big smile on my face. 'Spencer your sister is coming home' I thought to myself.
