You've been running around your home all day screaming your head off! Only 20 minutes ago you found out that you were chosen to be the lead sound engineer for BTS's North American leg of their world tour. You start to make arrangements to be absent from home for awhile; asking your friend to keep your dog while you're away, having your mail held by the post office, packing your things - the list goes on, but you know that not only is this a resume builder, but a once in a lifetime to tour with the biggest KPop group in the world! As you scrutinize your closet thinking of what to pack, your phone rings.
"Hey (Y/N), so you're moving up in the world, huh? You are so lucky!" your friend says.
"Oh man", you say trying to catch your breath. "I feel like I just won the lottery! I'm still pinching myself. "
"So what day and time do you want me to pick up Roco?" she asks, referring to your dog.
"How does Friday at 3:00pm sound? I don't have to be at the airport until 6pm, so that should give me plenty of time to leave." you say.
"Well, don't forget to leave me a spare set of keys so I can keep an eye on things while you are away."
"Thanks for the reminder! I will have it waiting for you. Talk to you soon."
"Bye (Y/N)!"
"See ya later. Bye!" as you hang up the phone.
The next few days goes by very quickly, and you manage to finish taking care of everything in preparation to be gone for the next few months. You make a mental note to ensure that you have your bank cards, passport, driver's license, and other necessary documents. You feel giddy as you realize that this is really happening. Usually when BTS tours on the North American continent, they only go to a few cities and use certain personnel local to each arena, but since they are becoming increasingly popular, they are trying to visit as many cities as possible to accommodate their growing ARMY fan base. You look over the itinerary that they faxed you on Wednesday; Six cities so far between the United States and Canada, with two days in each location. Although you will fly to each city along with the group and other crew, the elaborate sets have to go by ground, and easily take anywhere from two to three days to set up and break down in time for the next city. You figure that averages roughly one week in each city, not to mention all of the press that the band must do in between and it becomes clear why this tour will easily be two months long.
You've arrived at the airport some hours later, and as you wait for your plane to begin boarding, your phone rings.
"Hello, (Y/N). I just wanted to let you know that there has been an addition to your itinerary. It's not bad, but Big Hit would like all of the crew to meet informally with BTS members tomorrow evening. So you have plenty of time to rest before then. Can I text you the information or would you prefer email?"
"Text it to me please. Thanks again for this wonderful opportunity."
"Well it should be us thanking you. You're resume was quite impressive. You will make an excellent addition to this tour. We will see you tomorrow evening (Y/N). Good bye."
"Good bye." you say as you hang up.
Just then they call out boarding passes. You quickly make your way to the plane and find your seat by the window, which is perfect as you are ready to get some serious sleep. You've been up all day anxious and excited since 5:00am, and it's catching up to you. You doze off shortly after the plane takes off, and you sleep through most of the flight. You wake up to find that the person in the seat next to you ordered a beverage and snacks , and placed them on the tray in front of you. You'd thank them now, but they are now sleeping.
The plane has landed, and soon after you are in a cab on your way to your hotel. First stop, Los Angeles. You pay the fare before walking through the hotel lobby, confirming your reservation and picking up your keys. You settle into your hotel room, your home for about the next week. It's light, bright and airy with clean lines. You set up your suitcase, and put your laptop on your desk. Noting the time, you shower and prepare for bed. You text your friend letting her know that you've arrived to LA safely and will call when you get a chance. Despite the sleep you got on the plane, you are still tired, and it doesn't take long before you drift off to sleep.
