In a dirty and dilapidated house, a roars and shouts as he crashes and breaks all the things in the house. A group of messy children are all huddled together behind the boy scared.

Multiple beer bottles come crashing towards them as he vents his frustrations and anger on them. He suddenly grabs one of the younger girls, she starts crying out of fear and calls out to the boy.

The man quickly drags her away by the hair, what he doesn't notice is that the boy had picked up a bottle, in which he lifted it high over his head and smashed it on the man's head.

Due to his intoxicated state, the man felt no pain and reeled around with a bloody head to face the boy in anger. The boy is then grabbed and beaten with sticks and broken bottles until his body is covered with several cuts and large, purple and blue bruises. The man then had enough and took the boy outside and threw him down into the muddy river.

The boy was swept away as he struggled in the water, after a desperate struggle, he finally got himself out and ended up where he was now.

Three days later.

With no way of getting a job to defend himself, no place to stay, and worried sick about the other children, the boy began to lose hope and thought of killing himself since he believed that he was going to die soon because of his wounds and illness from the cold.

While he was going into despair, he heard clear footsteps walking then stopped in front of him.

He slowly looked up, he saw fine leather shoes, long legs and a nicely shaped torso, the figure of the stranger wearing a nice, navy blue three-piece suit was extremely dashing. His white-gloved hand held an intricate black cane with a gold handle.

Though the things he wore looked very expensive, the feeling he gave off was a causal, yet elegant appearance.

But what surprised him the most was the stranger's face. The stranger had beautiful blonde hair, wore a top hat, and his face was covered entirely by a smooth, white porcelain mask that held a smiling expression.

Amazingly, the stranger remained completely dry, as if he had an invisible umbrella. The boy was hesitant. It was common knowledge among the living about supernatural beings living among humans but it was still rare to actually meet one.

The boy knew that this person was no human.

He was a bit scared, the two stared at each other. . . The stranger spoke, his voice was cheerful and a bit sexy, very pleasant to hear, there was some humor as he spoke.

Stranger: What are you doing out in the rain?

Boy: *startled. . . I-I abandoned. . .

Stranger: Oh? What for?

Boy: B-Because I angered someone. . .

Stranger: *staring. Hmm~

The stranger reached out his hand. The boy flinched, but the stranger just brushed away his long bangs to reveal a pair of beautiful light blue eyes. Though his face was hidden, he seemed surprised.

Stranger: What a pretty color. Then. . . Why don't you come with me?

Boy: *startled. Eh?

Stranger: You have a place to go?

Boy: No. . .

Stranger: Then you can stay with me. What is your name?

Boy: *hesitates. Umm. . .

Stranger: *chuckles. You won't last any longer if you stay here.

Boy: *shivers. . . . . N-Noel Everard.

Stranger: *smiles. Noel Everard. . . I will let you work at my club. And I'll take good care of you. . .

And in the next moment, Noel saw a flash of light and went into unconsciousness. He suddenly remembered something that his mother had told him before she had died. . .

Woman: Noel, if you ever happen to meet a stranger, don't give them you're name unless you're sure that person is a human.

YoungNoel: Like vampires and werewolves?

Woman: *shakes her head. No. . .

YoungNoel: Than who can't I tell it to?

Woman: . . . The most powerful and dangerous among the supernatural, Demons. Haven't I told you? A name is a very precious thing. It belongs only to you and gives you an identity. Giving away your name is the same as making a contract.
