I was on my way back from work or I guess the pack job. My job in the pack is at the nursery I help watch the pups with my mother,even though I'm not a wolf. My moms the Luna, she's basically the female alpha, yea cool right, except she can't have kids so she adopted me.
My dad wasn't for it at first but when he saw and heard me he melted at least that's what mom said. I walk in the door "honey come here we need to talk to you about something"mom yelled. "Sure be right there"I yelled back,walking into the kitchen. "honey we wanted to ask if you wanted to attend this meeting with silver claw?"said mom. "Mom that is the most feared pack there brutal, they hate humans and I'm a human"I said panicked, "yea but they want to meet our daughter please say yes please lily"mom said. "Fine I'll go"

What are you doing you idiot do you have a death wish I thought to myself.i looked myself in the mirror I had a pair of ripped jeans and a red tank with my favorite leather jacket. "Damn, i look hot"I said "yes you do"said rose I turned and smiled at her

"Thanks rose"i said. "So are you going to be at the meeting"I asked "yea why? You going this weekend"she asked "sadly yea let's hope they don't kill me"I smiled. " they can't touch you I'm your best friend and beta i will kill them all" she said with her chest puffed out.

I started laughing "don't get yourself hurt because of me you have a mate to find",at the mention of the thought of a mate made her go all smiley.

"Come on honey we need to get going" mom called from down stairs "ok I'm coming" slipping on my heels and grabbing my book hopping into the back of the truck putting on my seat belt.
"Did you out your seat belt on princess?"asked dad "yea"i said putting in my head phone with me travel playlist and reading my book.

4 hour skip

I finished my book it was good not my favorite but its ok I guess, I look out the window there were a few wolves running along the car. My eyes widened as I saw how big there pack house is as we pull in I get out with my parents.
"Wow"I say my dad laughs "wow is right"he says,I stick my tongue out at him. "Oh yea there son is 24 by the way hon" dad says "so he's found his mate right?"I ask looking at my dad, "no actually when he didn't find his mate for 2 years he gave up and just started sleeping with random unmarked females"he says I wrinkle my nose "that's disgusting"he laughs "that's the life of an unmated male".

I just roll my eyes my dad walks to the door just as he gets ready to knock the door swings open showing a women who's about 5'6 geez everybody is taller than me which isn't very hard me being 5'3 but still.

"Hi my names jasmine,I'm the Luna"she saids smile at me with her hand reached out.i shake her hand back and say "hi my names lily" smiling. "I know, come in" my dad was the first to walk in.

We all got in an elevator and we stopped at the highest floor. Getting out I followed dad to a door and he knocked "come in" the voice scared me but made me curious. As I walk in behind my dad I saw piercing gray eyes that made me freeze.
"This is my son, Xander" jasmine said "ok" I mumble back my dad was seated in front of him I walked over and toke a sit beside him. "I didn't think that you are leaving the fate of your pack in a humans hands"Xander said. I look him straight in the eye getting ready to say something "she's going to be a great luna you jerk!!"rose yelled at him. My eyes widened and he growled at her cause her to let out a whimper "you dare to disrespect me you little beta" he started to stalk over to her. I jumped out of my seat and got in front of her get the effects of the alpha power. "She was just doing her job you jerk You weren't respecting her soon to be Luna so she acted how she was supposed to do, so if you have a problem take it up with me" i said proudly with my chest pushed out starring at him straight in the eyes.

He started laughing, once he calmed down he reached his arm around my waist and I felt little shocks and he looked at me and said "it seems my little mate isn't as weak as she looks". "Mate?"I say confused "yes kitten your mine"he said with a smirk. "But I thought you weren't interested in a mate" I said looking up at him.
"I'm not interested in a mate, I wanted to be clear"he smirked.my chest hurt I reached up and grabbed my chest stepping back "then I'll settle this right now, reject me then if you don't want a mate". He looked shocked "what the hell, your not going to try to get me to not reject you even when your in pain"he said "no I'm not going to beg a man to love me after all I'm going to be Luna of the black moon pack"I say proudly.
He just smirked and stared to say something I closed my eye bracing for pain but he started saying "i Xander silver accept lily black as my mate". My eyes widened "what the fuck?"I said looking at him, "I thought you were going to reject me?"

"I was"he said "then why did you accept me then"I ask , "the answer is simple, even though your human you take on the role as Luna protecting your pack"he motioned to rose "and you didn't even try to beg for me to accept you so your not normal" he says "thanks I think"I say. The door opens and jasmine is there with lemonade "so hows it going?" Handing me a glass before I can say anything Xander says "I found my mate ,lily" he puts his arm around my waist. She lets out a higher pitched squeal and I flinched "I knew it would be her, your dad owns me 50 bucks" she says and runs off.
