I can feel the sunlight from my bedroom window on my face as I wake up. I open my eyes and see some of my blond hair in my face, I move it out of my face and sit up. I look around my little room in my little apartment and turn to get out of my bed to put on my slippers. I open the door, walk down the long hallway and pass the small living room, which is brightened by the light from outside then walk into my tiny kitchen to grab a bowl from the cabinet to make breakfast, when out of no where the phone rings. I walk out to the living room and grab the phone that is on the small table next to the old tan rocking chair.

"Hello?" I say.

"Hi Melody I wasn't sure if you were up yet." says the lady on the phone

"No no, I am up Mom," I say to her, "So what is up?"

"I just wanted to know if you wanted to come up to the cabin this summer?" my Mom asks.

"Oh, um I am not sure can I get back to you on that?" I ask a bit sad.

"Okay just let me know by Tomorrow, Okay?" she says concerned.

"Okay," I say and we talk for a bit longer then I say my goodbyes and hang up.

I walk back to the kitchen a bit lost in though of the fact I maybe want to go back to the cabin or maybe I don't want to go back. I haven't been there in so long, the last time I was there I was fifteen, that was back in 2010. Then I eat breakfast then decide to clean the apartment today.

I start in my room's small walk in closet. I pull out a few boxed and then one catches my eye. A bright orange and pink shoe box. I gently pull it off the shelf and sit on the ground with it. I know what box this is and of course it decides to see me today, the day that mom asked me to go up to the cabin. I can feel the box telling me to open it but I know, if I do all these feelings and memories will come flying back at me, but my curiosity got the best of me. I opened it slowly and I could feel the memories from that summer hitting me, the summer when i was fifteen...
When I opened the box I saw some shells, a old camera, and a note book with my name on it. I picked up the shells. The were white and tan with some having little brown spots on them. They were still smooth in my hand like they just were polished. I put them next to me and grabbed the old camera. It had a rainbow strap to go around your neck. I looked into the hole where you could see what you were taking a pitcher of and set it next to me. I picked up the note book that had my name on it. I flipped though a few pages that had drawing and photos from the camera in the note book. She loved that camera. I saw a pitcher of her and I together at the lake, I wish she never had to leave...
