"Do you have stopovers in mind?" Aries opened up while we were on our way to Mati.
Kalalabas lang namin ng city proper at tinatahak na ang kalsada ng Panacan. Medyo traffic sa bandang ito dahil andito lang din sa kalsada ang wet market, mall, fast food chain, at remittance center ng barangay.
I pouted my lips and thought.
"Wala naman in particular, kung ano lang yung madaanan."
He nodded.
So that's what we did. Nang makadaan kami sa Carmen ay bumaba kami para kumain ng balut.
"Dalawang penoy po tapos chicharon. Dalawang softdrinks na rin." Aries ordered.
Tumango ang nagbabantay at kinuha ang softdrinks sa ref at binuksan ito. Pagkatapos n'yang ilahad sa amin ang chicharon ay sinabihan kaming ihahatid lang ang penoy na inorder.
"You've been here?" I asked him as we settled down on the table we chose.
He nodded. "Kasama mga pinsan ko."
I arched my brow.
"Oh? Is it Taurus?"
Aries' brows shot up. He then tilted his head in question.
"How did you know him?"
I protruded my lips.
"Kilala ko kasi boyfriend siya ni Ven, kaibigan kong model din." Kahit na nito ko lang nakumpirma na pinsan n'ya pala yon.
"Ah, Aeriven. . . But no, hindi siya ang kasama ko. It was Libra and CJ."
I nodded understandingly. May iba pa pala siyang mga pinsan, I mentally added that to the things I learned about him.
When our order came, we ate and enjoyed it. Pareho pa naming gusto umorder ng isa pa pero takot na hindi maubos dahil sa kabusugan. So, we opted to order one and just shared it with each other.
We were satisfied when we were done eating. I took a last sip from my soft drink before I nodded at him.
Sabay kaming tumayo para magbayad at bumalik sa sasakyan.
Nagpatuloy kami sa biyahe at hindi na nagkaron pa ng stop-over maliban sa bathroom breaks. When we reached the city proper of Mati, nag-lunch lang kami saglit sa Lane's then, we went straight to the resort he reserved for us.
We reached the resort around 2 pm. Tamang-tama sa oras ng pagch-check-in.
The reception of the resort is located at the top of the cliff. Nasa baba pa ang villas, cottages, dalawang engrandeng pool, leisure area, restaurant at ang dagat. There was a man-made concrete staircase towards the villa where we would stay. Kinunan ko ng picture ang kabuuan ng resort na nasa baba dahil na-a-amaze ako sa structure nito.
Naunang humakbang pababa si Aries. He stopped in his tracks and lent me his hand. Tinanggap ko yon. I felt him intertwine his hand with mine. When I looked at him he was already grinning. I grinned back.
The villa he reserved was so spacious for us.
A king-sized bed covered in clean, white sheets was at the center of the room. May maliit na breakfast counter sa corner. A round table and a couch were in the receiving area, in front of it was a flatscreen LED TV. Sa bathroom naman ay may malaki na bathtub at may kalakihang shower area na glass door lang ang pagitan.
I sat on the bed.
"This is so nice," I said, impressed.
Nilapag ni Aries ang dala naming mga gamit sa bakanteng round table at nilingon ako.
