"Good job girls!" Coach yelled as we practiced our routine for the upcoming football game. I smiled as we flipped across the gym floor and I felt like I was flying. "Alright get into the pyramid!" Coach Kathryn ordered as we all climbed up to our spot on the pyramid, with me on the top of it all. I looked at the invisible crowd of people and smiled when I thought of the crowd cheering as we did difficult flips and then ended with the finale of the pyramid. "Alright girls! That's it. You can come down since practice is over for today. Make sure to be on time for the game tomorrow!" Coach yells as we start chattering away while we walk into the locker rooms to change into some normal clothes instead of our practice outfits. I smiled as I talked to my best friend Sasha who at the moment was talking about which one of the football players was the hottest. I sighed as she finished up gossiping and giggling about the guys before she turned to me.
"Coach is going to kill us with the routines she gives us." Sasha groans as she shoves her her locker closed and walks out with me following behind her.
"They aren't that bad. I mean I actually love the routines." I reason laughing as she looks at me like I grew another head.
"Tsk, you're the captain so of course you like it. I got to go pick up my brat of a sister." Sasha smiles and leaves as I stop to get a drink from the vending machine before going home.
I pad up the stairs to my room where I pull out my backpack and start working on my homework which isn't that hard so it doesn't take long to finish. I smile as I enjoy the peace I have without any yelling, gossiping friends, loud guys, or anything. It's just me. Sometimes I like to be alone so that I don't have to deal with the drama that surrounds me like a cloud when I'm at school and sometimes even when I'm not at school. I go downstairs and grab an apple for a quick snack and sit down on the sofa to watch a movie. I decide on a movie called The Valentine which turns out to be a movie about a softball player who's afraid to ask the star pitcher out so she ends up sending him a secret admirer note on Valentine's Day. I smile as I watch him figure out that it is her that sent the note and as he tells her he has liked her for a while now. The girl in the movie smiles as the boy kisses her and I mentally squeal. I love romance. I don't have any real romance in my own life though. Why can't my life be like the movies? All I have is guys checking me out and using stupid, offensive, boring pick up lines. They don't even know me. They like me because I have "a nice body" and I hate it. I hate that people who don't take the chance to know who I really am can say they like me just because they think I look good.
I finish the movie and my stomach rumbles and I laugh as I take out my phone to order some pizza. "Hello, what can we get you?" I hear a cheerful voice on the other end say after they pick up.
"Hi, can I just get the cheese pizza and some breadsticks? My address is N*** W****." I smile as I hear the busy restaurant chatter in the background.
"Of course, your food will be there in 30 minutes or less and if it's not then it's free. Thanks for choosing our establishment. Call again." I put down my phone after saying goodbye and wait for my food.
