A raven-haired woman with sapphire eyes which glistened with tears screamed loudly in pain. Her deep breathing was filled with her screams and tears as she continued pushing. The chains wrapped around her wrists clang with each movement.
"Keep pushing, Lisanna! It's almost here!"
Lisanna, the raven-haired woman screamed further but continued pushing through her labour. Her hands gripped onto the sheet that laid beneath her. After hours, the woman collapsed onto the ground, chocking on her breath. She smiled slightly, still exhausted but listened to the soft cries of her daughter but also the silence of her midwife.Sitting up, Lisanna looked over to her midwife, staring at the haunted look on her face as she stared down at the newborn baby.
"What is it?"
Questioned the woman named Lisanna, face twisted in worry. The midwife crawled around with the baby before placing the small newborn into the mother's arms.
"She's cursed, it's the...the dragon curse!"
The mother stared down at her new daughter, noticing the pointed ears with light pink scales. Lisanna only smiled,
"No, it's not a curse. My daughter is blessed with power the only curse is being born into this life"
Lisanna's words slowly trailed off, her eyes turning hollow and lifeless, causing the midwife to quickly take the newborn as the raven-haired woman collapsed, whispering quietly.
"I'm sorry my daughter, Coral"
