i read this sloppy note with my shaky hand
i wanted to show joy what happens when you lie
but i wasnt evil enough to ignore this

i guess she skipped school writing this, because i didnt see her at all today. but she couldve been avoiding me.
shes the kind of person to do that.

"i have to go, dont i."
i laughed at myself.

i spent the rest of my afternoon
without a care in the world
i called my friends
and i went out to grab something to eat
life was good for now

until 11:50 hit

she wanted me there by 11:50
but i dont have to keep all my promises, right?
so instead of hanging up the phone with nayeon and telling her i had somewhere to be
i kept talking
and talking
until i knew i had to go.

but right when i got there
i saw joy
begin to climb back up the hill with her head down
back to her house

and she thought i was not coming.

so i ran with the speed i could muster
until i stood behind her
i had tried to dodge her view.

so out of anger i had to say

"what do you want?"

i
yanked her hood from behind and jerked her backwards
to face me
and there i stood
in my bare feet
with my pink t-shirt
and my pink shorts
and my hair down
she must be shocked looking at me

i hope she knew i did this for her.

she wasnt as dumb as i thought
because
she took a final glance at my face
swooped down
and kissed me
and i kissed her back
and i smiled a little in the middle of our kiss
and when we stopped
the only only thing she said to me
was
"i love you,
kim yeri."

she didnt lie.
