-Mephisto-
"Xeris!" Talia cries out. "Volta!" Auriana yells. "Ephedia!" Iris shouts. "Oh cladsnick..." I curse. "Crystal Obsta!" The three Princesses shout. "Not again...!" My older twin, Praxina (or Prax as I call her) groans.
We cringe at each other before diving out of the way of the yellow, blue and pink blast. Prax yells out, some of it must've hit her. We both fly up into the air above the arena.
"Next time Princesses. Next time." I growl, before my sister and I teleport away in our red-and-green-and-black swirls.
I look down at my black boots nervously.
"You alright Prax?" I ask my sister, trying to distract my mind from the possibility of Gramorr losing his temper.
She grits her teeth. "I would be if you didn't mess up the plan. Again." She retorts and I wince.
"I'm sorry, I got distracted!" I defend myself sheepishly. "Sorry won't be good enough." Praxina grumbles, facing forwards.
Oh I know that.
I squeeze my eyes shut as Gramorr summons us into the throne room.
I bend down onto one knee as we're teleported into the crystals.
"Your Dark Lordness," I bow to him, raising my eyebrows at Prax to get her to do the speaking. She rolls her eyes at me and I stand up, noticing how much weaker she looks from the Princess' blast.
"I trust you bring good news?" Gramorr inquires, his eyes flashing red. I look away at this.
"I'm sorry my liege, but there were some issues along the way." Praxina replies, glaring at me. I look down at the floor sheepishly again.
"SOMEBODY got distracted and then the Princesses did their usual magic-friendship-beamy-thingy." Prax explains vaguely. I wince at her pointing the blame, once more, at me.
"I see." Gramorr observes. "Praxina, are you injured?" He asks. I have to prevent myself from rolling my eyes. He's always preferred Prax than me. I mean, is it just because she was born first or something? We're twins for cladsnick's sake!
"I was hit quite a bit by their magic, but I should be fine." My sister reassures our boss. He nods curtly.
"Very well Praxina, you are dismissed." Gramorr tells her. She nods, and teleports out.
"But you on the other hand," he turns to address me, his eyes red with anger. "Are not." I close my eyes for a few seconds before gathering up the courage to speak.
"It wasn't all my fault Mast-" "SILENCE!" He yells cutting me off and causing Banes to wake up with a start.
"Did I give you permission to speak?" He questions angrily. "No Lord." I reply, noting how he seems more agitated this time.
"I gave you a simple plan, and yet again you screwed it up like a bumbling bumblehead." He growls. "I'm sorry." I apologise.
"Sorry," He emphasis the word, "doesn't bring me Princess Iris. SORRY doesn't bring me the power I deserve." He growls, his voice and hostility rising with every word. I droop my head in surrender. If I know Gramorr, it's that he likes to feel powerful over us. I mean, I don't need to act that part. He is powerful over us. But then again, that's why Prax and I kept that medallion that belonged to Talia's sister.
My thoughts are cut off when Banes starts stalking around the crystal I'm inside, as if I'm some kind of prey. It's all I can do to not growl at the stupid beast, like what kind of evil animal is it?
Suddenly Gramorr raises his hand out towards me and his eyes turn red again. Magic swirls around the inside of the crystal, making me feel even more claustrophobic if possible.
Crystal spikes start growing from the outside in. I try to move away from some of them, but when I do he just enhances the speed of which they're expanding. One of them catches me under the eye, and I feel blood oozing out.
They continue to grow, tearing through my suit as they go, ripping fabric and skin until I'm completely surrounded, barely able to breathe.
Still they push on, slicing cuts into my arms, my cheeks, my torso, my legs. It's gonna take a lot of magic to cover this stuff off.
Then one reaches my throat. I feel a slight burn as the crystal scrapes accross my skin, but just as I think it's about to pierce my neck and kill me it stops. And then they all start retreating. Whew. I let out a small sigh of relief.
Wiping blood from my face, I look at Gramorr again, who's eyes have turned from red back to their usual greyish colour.
"Let this be a lesson to you Mephisto," he warns me. "That nothing like this should happen again. Or else." He finishes the warning with a threat.
I nod quickly, ignoring the blood I can feel starting to soak into my uniform from the cuts scattered across my body.
He dismisses me and I teleport out.

Fiksi PenggemarIs there more to Mephisto and Praxima that meets the eyes? Is Mephisto taking all the hits for the failed missions? What if Gramorr came up with not one, but two foolproof schemes to destroy the Princesses? Would one of the twins change? (I do not...
