Everything seemed so simple a couple of years ago. No homework problems, no stress, and no depression.

My name is Alex and I somehow struggle with everything mentally.

"Alex get up it's time for school" my mom yells.
I groan and turn over. "Come on, I'm gonna be late for work"
I let out a big uuggggghhhh and head to the bathroom to get ready.

When I enter the room I try to avoid looking at myself in the mirror as much as possible. I used to try to give myself confidence but it just failed.

After I get ready I sit on the couch and wait for my mom to grab her keys. "Aren't you gonna eat breakfast?" She asks. "I'll eat some at school" I lied. "Besides I don't want you to be late"

The car ride is silent to the bus stop. As I wait for the bus I prepare myself to force a fake positive attitude.

5 minutes later the bus arrives. I take in a deep breathe.

Here goes another day of pretending.
