all we have is now

s y n o p s i s

Amelia Parker was the type of girl who lived her life within the carefully constructed boundaries she'd set for herself, never venturing out of her small corner of London or straying away from her plans. But when her family uproot her from everything she's ever known and set her back down in a country she's never been to before where she doesn't know a soul and barely speaks the language, Amelia must reconstruct the foundations of her existence. Amongst the moonlit boulevards, sunkissed streets and historic landmarks of Paris, Amelia uncovers the stories buried beneath the city's pavements and the secrets hidden within the broken heart of a blue-eyed boy.

Hi! I'm Jasmine. I came up with this story idea when I was fifteen years old, whilst I was sitting at a bus stop during the summer holidays. It was unfortunate timing to come up with this story idea, because over the next few years I sat my A Levels, which meant that an unhealthy proportion of my time was spent studying and very little was spent writing. I tried to make time for it every now and again, and often this story may feel rather stop-start because I would frequently go months without writing it. But now, two summers later, I have finally finished it and I'm extremely excited to be publishing it on Wattpad. Like most of the stories I've written in my youth, I'm sure I will look back on it one day and cringe as I have endless room for improvement as a writer, but for the time being I am proud of what I have achieved with this storyline and these characters. I hope that everyone who reads this story enjoys it as much as I enjoyed writing it, and if it's not too much to ask for I would greatly appreciate it if people left constructive criticism in the comments section, voted for the story, added it to their reading lists or maybe even recommend it to a friend. Thank you and enjoy.

(Also, apologies for any incorrect use of the French language. It is with regret that I must announce that I had to use Google Translate for most of the French vocabulary used in this story.)
