"Yes..."
"Can you... Can you describe Max to me?"
"Why?" he asked.
"Cause... Well, just do it."
"Uh, Okay. She has dirty blonde hair," check. "Feirce eyes," check. "A posture radiating confidence," check. "And is about 5'8", 5'9"." Jackpot.
"Hey, uh, Cole?"
"Yeah?"
"I think I see her. But, tell me, does she have.. wings?!"
At the word wings, the seven creatures about fifteen yards away from me, decorating six different trees turned and faced my direction, and caught sight of me. I think one was a dog!
And in a heart beat later, one creature was up in my face.
"Who are you," it hissed, it's shaggy black hair falling in his meancing eyes. His huge black wings were spread out about 15 feet and all it did was add to his dark angel appearence I gulped.
"My name is Tira..." I said, scared. "Do you know a girl named... Max?"
He bared his teeth again. "And why would you need to know that?"
"Because she and some friends disappeared from my friend tonight. And blondie over there matches his description of her."
He frowned. "Max," he said, and suddenly a girl was by his side, hovering in the air. She was the girl that fit Cole's description.
I think I just found Max Ride, Cole's old girlfriend- with wings. Uhhhhhhhhh......
******* Any Thoughts?****
"Tira," I heard Cole's voice shout from my phone. I lifted it back to my ear hesitantely.
"Hey, Cole," I said, never taking my eyes off their faces. "Can I call you back later?"
"Tira, wait-"
"Bye, Cole," I said, and hit end.
I gribbed the ladder, and climbed the tree, with Max letting her wings lower her down, and the big guy, slowly pulling himself to his feet, like he was about to jump. And he jumped. He landed on the other side of the ladder then Max, and as I started walking out of the woods, they followed. When I walked by the trees with the other creatures, they jumped down too. Although the slow girl from earlier had to be carried by someone else.
I walked out of the woods, frowning as I left the beautiful house of nature, and almost felt my skin tingle with relief as I made it through the magical barrier outside of camp, that Chiron had vaguely told me about.
'No one but someone with godly blood can enter,' he had said.
I waited to see if they could get through, and I didn't have to wait too long to find out. As soon as I had cleared the woods, and turned back, the big guy walked into the barrier, and couldn't go through. He banged on it.
"What kind of trickery is this?" the Max girl yelled. "The governement hasn't released force fields-" she paused when she saw my shocked expression. "Is this not a force field?"
"No," I said slyly. "It's magic."
The big boy scoffed. "Yeah right."
I pulled out my wand, slowly. "Really? Do you believe that?"
He nodded.
"Well, I hadn't believed angels existed either." I replied. Slowly, I thought of a pell, stuck my wand out towards them and whispered.
