Chapter 19

"Hey, not fair!" Wanda cried out and they turned to her. "Why does Bucky have a chance and Steve doesn't?" she called out.

"Like I said, I'm not really the type of girls Steve would date," Natasha answered, a hint of sadness lacing her voice, in which Wanda took a note of but didn't call out. "And I think Bucky... I don't know what he likes but I think there's a possibility with him. Remember when we went to LA?" she asked them. The two nodded. They all heard it from Natasha, that darn question that Tony just had to ask. "Well, he actually asked me about it," she saw Pietro about to intervene but she held a hand up, "not ask me out so don't even go there, but we just shared a laugh over it. Like I said, none of us really want to get into dating so nope, as of now, I'm focusing on school and cheer instead of all that complicated dating stuff," she waved her hands and dropped the conversation.

They talked more about random stuff after that, like how Pietro and Wanda have a small chance of moving back, how they think the party will go, and what kind of dance they want to do. The next thing they know it was dinner time and some other family members of theirs came. They ran down to greet them.

"Carol?? OMG is that you?" Natasha asked in surprise and hugged the visitor.

"Hey cuz, it's me!" her cousin, Carol Danvers, answered and hugged her back, laughing with Natasha. She's their cousin who moved all the way to Boston and would rarely go down to visit them. Carol is also a year older, but is definitely more mature and different than Wanda and Natasha so the two weren't too close to her. "I haven't seen you guys in so long, you're all so much bigger!!!" she exclaimed and moved on to hug Pietro and Wanda.

"Man, I think we were still in middle school since we last saw you," Wanda recounted.

"Yeah, well mom and dad are so busy and it's annoying that they won't even let me fly here alone to visit you," Carol rolled her eyes. "They always insist on coming with but they don't even have time," she explained.

"Come on kids, time for dinner!" Natasha's mom announced. They all followed her to the dining room to eat. Everyone was feeling a bit tired from their respective travels so the adults let to have the kids retire to their room early.

The girls ran up, and with Carol, they decided that Pietro should sleep on the bed and the three of them would set up a little camp on the floor of her room.

"Or, I could sleep in the room Auntie said I could stay in so you could have your 'girl talk' to yourselves," he lamely offered. He got a bunch of negative replies so he just went on with it.

The girls set up a comfortable sleeping area on the floor, using an airbed so they wouldn't have back pains the next day. Once settled in, Carol took a look at Natasha's room and her pictures.

"Hey, who's that hottie over there?" she asked, pointing at a framed picture of Natasha and her friends at Tony's house in Venice.

"Which one? They're all hot," Wanda teased and Natasha made a disgusted face. "What? Have you not had a good look at them? They are!"

"That one," Carol said, pointing at the picture so Wanda could see.

"Oh, that's Bucky, Tasha's best friend." Wanda answered and stood next to Carol. Natasha watched them from her position lying down. Pietro glanced at them and narrowed his eyes.

"Wait, that one is hotter," Carol said after a moment of looking at more photos.

"And that one is Steve," Wanda said, exchanging a look with Natasha, who just shrugged at her.

"Oooh," Carol said, dragging it out as if she was thinking. "Is he single?" she asked scandalously.

Wanda was about to answer but Natasha beat her to it. "He is," she said. Carol nodded and grinned at the two of them. Wanda made a face but Natasha shook her head to prevent her from saying anything. Not like there's anything to say, but she just doesn't want to share.
