Eddie hesitantly took a small sip. Being the weird kid he is, he swirled it around in his mouth like some adult going to a wine tasting event.

Beverly sipped her glass again as she looked at her friends. “So what else would you guys like to do?”

Joan moved to sit down in one of the other chairs by the side of the room before taking a sip from the glass and she smiled a bit. "Maybe listen to some music for a little while?"

Bill looked at Joan and Beverly and remembered what Joan wanted to do when we got here. "W-what about going on the roof?"

"Yeah, let's do that!" Joan said.

Bill looked at Joan and chuckled then got up while saying, "I'll b-be right back." He then put down his wine that he had and headed up to his room. Once he got to it and went inside, he went to his desk and grabbed his black and yellow portable radio his parents had gotten him when he was younger.

Bill exited his room and went back down to everyone else and raised the radio up, then lightly shook it to show it off. He then put the handle around his wrist and grabbed the wine bottle and his glass. "Come on, we can use m-my dads ladder to get up."

Joan got up from the couch. "Or we could climb up through a window. Actually, your idea sounds safer. Let's do that."

Bill nodded his head and put the radio, wine and glass down, then grabbed his shoes and put them back on. He then picked his items back up and headed towards the door that lead to the garage.

Joan looked around at everyone and shrugged before following Bill into the garage. "Need some help?"

Bill went into the garage and said, "Could use s-some," while laughing. He then went over to where the ladder was and grabbed the highest part he could reach, then started tilting it downwards. "Here, g-go open the garage door then come back and grab the other end." Bill said while pulling the ladder towards the garage door.

Joan went to the garage door and lifted the bottom up, jumping to get it all the way to the top. Joan then went over to the opposite end of the side Bill was on and knelt down to lift the other end of the ladder.

Beverly brought her glass into the garage as Joan helped Bill put the ladder up.

Once Bill and Joan got the ladder outside, he started steering it towards the other end of his front steps so they could put it against the house.

Joan kept looking back as she walked, carrying the other end of the ladder. She eventually placed her end down against the house.

Beverly watched as Joan and Bill put the ladder up. "We’re gonna relax with some music and something good to drink.” She said, smiling.

Bill took the radio off of his wrist and held it out towards Beverly. "Here."

Beverly grabbed the radio from Bill’s hand. She then put the loop around her wrist.

Bill then started pushing his end of the ladder upwards so it would reach the top of the house and lie against. "Alright." Bill said while shaking the ladder to see if it was steady and safe.

"So are we gonna go up there now or later?" Joan asked Bill.

Bill looked at Joan and said, "Whenever everyone is r-ready."

"I'll go check on the boys." Beverly said before walking off towards the garage.

Joan waited until Beverly was gone to turn to Bill. "So, you and Bev, huh?"

Bill quickly turned to Joan and a confused but somewhat embarrassed look crossed his face. "Uh, w-what? What about us?"

"Oh, come on. It's obvious you two like each other." Joan said.
