Joan shrugged and put her overnight bag on the floor. "I'm down for whatever."
Bill got up and headed towards his parents' room before saying, "Alright. I'll b-be back."
Once he got to their bedroom door, he opened it and entered slowly. Though his parents weren't home, he was still being very cautious not to move anything. He was having doubts about the wine then remembered that they haven't touched it in so long and probably forgot about it, so it being gone wouldn't matter.
Bill tried thinking about where he first saw the wine and finally remembered. He went over to their bed and pulled up a small, loose floorboard. "Got you." He quietly said as he pulled the wine out and put the floorboard back down.
As soon as Bill put the floorboard down, he tilted his head a little, in confusion. He saw something else in the floor that was under the wine bottle, but only got a glance of it. He was wondering if he should leave it alone or see what it was, but Bill was feeling a little nosy. Bill lifted the floorboard and looked down into the floor and saw a 6-8 inch rubbery object and felt disgusted for a moment. He didn't know what to do. Should he pretend he never saw it? Mention it to his friends?
Bill brushed off his disgusted feeling and picked the toy up out of the floor before putting the floorboard back down. Bill grabbed the wine with his free hand and got up, then started walking out of the room. He put the wine bottle in the crook of his arm that was holding the toy and used his right hand to close the bedroom door.
Richie was riding past Bill's house when he tilted his head a bit. He decided to see if he was there. He rode up to the house and threw his bike on the grass, then walked up to the door and knocked on it.
Bill hurried towards the door with the items still in his hands once he heard the knocking on the door. Not thinking about who it could be and what someone could say about the things he was holding as a 13 year old. He then opened the door to find his friend, Richie Tozier.
"H-hey, Richie." Bill said while blushing in embarrassment. Richie was his most inappropriate friend and anything Richie could say while Bill was holding the toy in his hand could be super embarrassing for him.
Beverly looked over and saw Bill come back downstairs, into the living room. She examined what he had in his hands. She wondered what he had as he opened the door, seeing who was knocking.
Richie smiled at Bill, not noticing the items at first. “Hey, B-“ his eyes moved down, widening slightly as he noticed what Bill was holding. “Holy shit.” He said, beginning to laugh. “Bad timing?”
Joan got up and walked over to them. She froze when she realized what Bill was really holding. "Bill, when I said I was down for whatever, this is not what I meant."
“Um, Bill. Why did you bring that thing down?” Beverly asked.
Bill opened his mouth to say something then froze. He didn't know what to say. He didn't know how to get out of the situation. "I-Uh...um."
Bill looked at the item and finally got out something. "I was g-getting the wine and found t-this underneath it. I wasn't p-planning on anything, trust me. I just..."
“Okay, I believe you. At least you got the wine, though.” Beverly thought for a moment. “We’re gonna need to get some glasses to drink it."
Joan laughed a bit. "And put that thing where Richie can't find it."
“Yeah, we need to hide that from him.” Beverly added, laughing.
Richie narrowed his eyes for a second, looking at the three of them. “Hey, I’m not into that kinda shit.” He said, doing a little hand gesture.
