"Hello?"

"Aw, did I wake you up?"

I sat straight up and cleared my throat.

"No. I've been up."

"That's good. I was thinking maybe we can do something later?"

My eyes widened. "Y-you and me? Like, just the two of us?"

Collie giggled on the other line. "I was hoping so."

"Uh, yeah, yeah!" I scrambled out of bed, nearly falling on my face when my foot was still caught in the covers. "When?"

"I don't care. Around two or something? At that park near Constance."

I nodded even though she couldn't see me. "Yeah, okay."

She laughed again. "I'll see you later."

"Okay," I smiled.

Collie hung up a second later and a giant smile broke out on my face. I pulled my phone from my ear and stared at the screen. I felt nervous seeing her later, but I also felt nervous about asking Melissa and Greg if I could see her. I had a feeling they'd be hesitant on the idea which didn't help settle my nerves in the slightest.

After setting my phone down, I pulled my plain pajama bottoms up so they weren't sagging from my waist and headed down stairs. Isabeau was sitting on a stool in the kitchen when I entered.

"Hey, Bray," she smiled.

"Hi, Beau."

I went towards the pantry and got out my Lucky Charms. Beau told me about her dream while I fixed myself a bowl.

"What did the fairy god-mother tell you?" I asked, pouring a decent amount of milk.

"I don't know!" she whined. "I woke up!"

I smirked and went to go sit next to her after putting everything away. Two minutes later, she finished and hopped off from the stool.

"Hey, Iz?" I asked

"Yeah?"

"Do you think Mom and Dad will let me go to the park with one of my friends that's a girl?"

Isabeau raised an eyebrow as she advanced towards me. "Is she a girlfriend?"

I smiled. "No."

Isabeau smiled back. "She'll probably let you. You do know you're the favourite child, right?"

I knit my eyebrows and pressed my lips together. "I'm not the favourite."

Beau rolled her eyes playfully and made her way out of the kitchen. "Sure."

I shook my head, still grinning when Melissa entered the kitchen with Greg by her side. Greg nearly tripped over his daughter.

"Oops! Sorry, Daddy!" Beau said, walking around him.

"Sorry, Beau," he smiled, watching her go passed him. "Good morning, son," he smirked when he noticed me.

"Good morning."

"Did you sleep well, Brayden?" Melissa questioned, grabbing out two pans from beneath the stove.

"Yeah."

"That's good."

"Um, Melissa?" I asked hesitantly.

She glanced at me over her shoulder. "What is it, sweetie?"

I drew in a deep breath and kicked the counter with my foot once lightly.

"Could I maybe go spend some time with Collie later?"
