I groaned while getting up. Throws alarm and lies in bed staring at the ceiling. A few seconds later Mom shouted, "ADAM, ARE YOU AWAKE"
"Yes Mom," I said,
"Good, now get dressed its Monday don't want to be late, AGAIN." I sat up straight, wishing he could sleep the whole day and not have to go to school. Without pondering on the thought too long I swiftly got out of bed and showered. I decided to wear uniform as today was not bothered to choose my outfit. Suddenly there was an ear-rattling scream."ADAM ARE YOU DRESSED YET? IF YOU ARE COME DOWN AND HAVE SOME BREAKFAST THE SCHOOL BUS WILL BE HERE IN 20 MINUTES OKAY HUN?"
"Okay, Mom," I groaned. After putting on his clothes I shot downstairs to meet Mum who was waiting impatiently at the dining table where my breakfast sat untouched. She wasn't impressed.

"Good morning Mother," I said carefully, not to anger her in any way. "Good morning to you too now sit down and eat the bus is going to be here in 10 minutes, also I have packed your lunch and bag for you, so chop chop, "Mom said in a bored and dull tone. I sat down and began to eat. I realised that Dad was not here and decided to ask. "Hey, Mom."
"Yes," she replied.
"Where is Dad?." I paused," he is supposed to have come home today and he is never late." She paused for a second obviously thinking about what excuse to come to say to naive old me."He had to postpone it so he might come tomorrow or a few days later," she said," I am sorry hun." Her stern stare melted into a soggy plead. "It ok," I replied. It wasn't like I didn't expect it but I wanted to know why. I looked down at my bowl to find it empty with a little puddle or rice at the bottom of the bowl. I had subconsciously finished my bowl of rice. I stood up. I packed my stuff and made for the door." Adam," Mum called after me. "Yes?" I replied.
Erm, so that concludes our first chapter stay tuned for the second one where Adam arrives at school.
