Facing this Giant

An eleven year old girl walks the halls to her new school. Her head was held low and earbuds could be seen in her ears. A smile wasn't found. She carried her books tightly to her chest as she walked to her first class, the class that she hated the most, in fact.
Growing up in church was not seen as a normal thing to do. She was always taught that God is with her every step in her life, but lately she was questioning this. The people in school would tease her for it, so eventually she just pushed God away. The person that loved her unconditionally, so much in fact that he sent his ONLY son to die on a old wooden cross and shed his blood for her sins and yours.
She sat down in her seat which was at the front of the class. People started to show up and they would always sit beside her, not to be friendly though.
"Are you going to visit your crying corner today? Look at your hair, what you couldn't bother to make yourself look better? You don't belong here."
Words cut like knives in case you didn't know.
She tried to ignore it, but when her table got kicked and her books scattered everywhere, her breaking point was at last found.
A single tear slipped down her face.
She looked up at the teacher who was just watching, as if she had popcorn on her table ready to watch whatever kind of pain was getting ready to be inflicted on her.
"You're fat. Your ears are HUGE! Why's your nose so big?"
She grew up knowing that the Bible says in Genesis 1:27 "So God created man in his own image..." but the devil is alive and he continually used horrible sayings to ruin this for her.
She sat there as more tears flowed.
"Go to your crying corner, you little baby."
She quietly got up and ask to go see the guidance counselor.
The teacher was unaffected by the obvious unsettling emotion on her face.
Upon entering the counselor, it was nothing new to her. Though she didn't know why she would always try, it's not like she helped the girl anyway.
"Well maybe I could talk to them"
She added another mental Talley to the amount of times she's heard this before but nothing ever got done.
The bell rang and it was time for her next class, not that it was any better.
She excused herself and walked to the front office, signing the log book to use the phone. And for the 45 time that year, called her dad, complaining she was sick.
But she never was, she was just emotionally drained.
She was losing hope fast. She was giving up on God so quickly that it scared even her.
She doubted God and his ability. She tried to do it herself. But as she'll find out soon enough, it won't happen.

(A/N: hey y'all. So I hope this is an okay chapter so far. In case you couldn't tell by now, this is my testimony. This is my life's story. Everything you read will be 100% true and has actually happened to me. This is how God brought me from my lowest low to my highest high and he's still working on me.
