"Evergreen?"
A short orange dragon popped around the corner. "I'm busy Maple, leave me alone." Evergreen hissed at Maple, Maple looked at Evergreen and edged closer to the her. Maple was fiddling with a pink gemstone. "There's a dragon waiting for you, at the bridge." Maple said. Evergreen hesitated, she looked at maple and snorted. "Tell her to wait, I'm busy."
"She said that her egg was stolen." Evergreen stopped what she was doing, and looked at Maple. "Her egg?" Evergreen fiddled with her talons. "Yes your majesty, her egg was stolen just a few days ago."
Evergreen got up off her throne, and walked toward the window, avoiding eye contact with Maple. She looked out the window and saw the dragon, she was pacing in circles on the bridge. "She's pacing," The queen noticed. Maple started to walk toward the queen.
When Maple got close enough to see out the window, she said "She was doing that when I went to go check on the entrance." Evergreen looked at Maple, with her blue eyes. "Really," Evergreen laughed. A few moments past of watching that dragon."Fine," She paused,"I will go talk to her."
Evergreen walked toward the doorway to the hall. She went down the long hallways of the Forest Castle, I wonder what the dragon wants, She asked herself.
When she got in the main room, a guard asked to accompany her, but she said no. She continued her journey to the main entrance.
Evergreen was close enough to open the main entrance, "What are you doing?" A harsh voice called from the other side of the room, "I was just about to go to the bridge," Evergreen said. "Why?" The voice called, Evergreen heard the voice edge closer.
"Why do you need to know?" Evergreen snapped. "Don't give me the attitude, MOM" She yelled back, Evergreen looked in the direction the dragon was coming from. "Conifer, this is not the time. I need to-" Evergreen was cut off by Conifer."Yeah, yeah. You have WORK." Conifer growled.
They locked their eyesight, Evergreen saw Conifer growl. "I can't wait till I'm queen," she growled, Evergreen felt something snap in her mind."THAT'S IT! GO TO YOUR ROOM!" She harshly yelled at Conifer. Evergreen turned back toward the main entrance, she heard Conifer stomp all the way to her room, SLAM. Oh their's her door, Evergreen chuckled.
She opened the main door, and noticed the dragon looking at the door. Oh shoot, She thought. Evergreen walked on the leafy ground, with every step she took, was a loud crunch.
The dragon was wearing a cloak, with the hood having sheep hide on the rim. The cape had orange fabric, with moose hide rims. In the middle of the cloak, connecting it all, was a shiny orange jewel. Wow, that jewel looks stunning. Evergreen thought.
The dragon just noticed the queen coming out, "Sorry, I didn't see you there," She seemed stressed at the situation. "Well sorry for that, I'm Spruce." Spruce took a bow. "Hello, spruce" Evergreen paused. "What brings you to see me?" Evergreen looked at Spruce with a smirk on her face. Spruce was fidgeting with her bushy tail, "Well, you see" She stopped, "uh," She was more stressed now. Evergreen looked at her, "I don't have all day you know." She said. "Sorry, sorry!" She stuttered, spruce rubbed her temples. It took a few moments but she spat it out. "My egg was stolen!" Spruce said.
Maple wasn't joking, "really?" Evergreen replied back.
"When did you last see it?" Evergreen said, she looked at Spruce feeling sympathy for this poor dragon. "Just a few days ago" Spruce said, she rubbed her eyes, "could you find the dragon who stole it, and stab him with the biggest dagger you got?" Spruce said, she looked at Evergreen with tears running down her cheeks. "We'll try" Spruces face lit up, "Thank you! Please bring my egg back to me! Also murder the dragon who stole my egg,"Spruce said with delight, but then with hate. "One last question, what color is the egg?" Evergreen asked while tilting her head to the side. "Oh, it's a light violet with silver specks." An Animus, Evergreen jolted back she almost yelped but held it in.
"Thank you for the information," She smiled at spruce.
"No, no." Spruce shook her head, "Thank you!" Spruce grabbed Evergreens talons, and did a talon shake.
      Ew, dirty dragon talons. Evergreen hid her face of disgust through a smile. Spruce let go of Evergreens talons. It looked like she read her mind, but mind readers aren't in lxria, the last one died in one of the forbidden islands 200 years ago.
"Alright, I need to go," she said awkwardly, then Spruce flew toward the Pine Shopping district. "I wonder what that was all about," Evergreen said to herself, she shrugged then continued on with her day. Then she remembered an animus, could her dragonet be an animus? May she is, she rubbed her temples.
    But I felt something different, Evergreen walked toward the castle.
