The new beginning

Recap:

  I could smell fumes arising from different parts of the room, not literally, but yeah, I could feel the look of a couple of eyes on me. It felt weird, yet good...... And the rest of the hour went pretty well with Drew warming up to me. Well, I dunno what to say.....

After Biology, Drew and I, we walked towards the canteen. We were so engrossed in talking that I didn't notice Jake and Diana (Drew's sister) walking right towards us until we almost bumped into each other. Soon after the introductions, the four of us headed towards the canteen. We soon found a table and were seated. Drew said that he'd get something for us to eat and Diana said she'd accompany him. As they went, Jake pulled out his phone and put on his headphones and started listening to music. So to pass the time I was just looking around. That's when I saw that the rest of the canteen was actually staring at us!! Wait, why? Is it because of Drew and Diana? A few tables across I saw Bella and Ben seated with their friends. I smiled and waved. None of them except Bella reciprocated... Not even Ben!

Drew and Diana returned after what seemed like years. " What were you guys doing? I am starving!!" " Yeah! What took you so long?" I just realized that he was still there. Soon we were eating. I saw that Drew wasn't eating and the case was same with Diana. I nudged Jake. He looked at me and gave me the "What?" look! I just looked back at him and he understood without me uttering a word. Well somehow, me and Jake have this weird eye communication right from birth. We look at each other and we understand what the others want to say.

" Aren't you guys eating?"

 "Umm, no!" 

"Why not?" 

"Not hungry! Had a heavy breakfast!!"

" Oh!"

I still felt nervous about the others looking at us. It was quite awkward. I guess Drew noticed that." Hey! Anything bothering you?"

 " Umm... No.... Actually, Yes!"

 " What is it?"

" Well it feels really weird with all these people staring at us!! So...."

" Oh that!!! We generally don't hang out with anyone else in this whole school. You're the first people who are actually sitting with us and talking with us." Diana replied.

" Oh!!" me and Jake answered together.

After a moments silence, Diana spoke up again. " Umm.... Jake, I wanted to ask you something!"

"Hmm... Yeah?"

" Why do you smell like a wolf?"

Our shoulders tensed. But I remembered to remain calm. " The smell's awful isn't it? It's his cologne. He has this really awkward affinity towards wolves. I love them too, but I ain't as obsessed as my bro.!!" I said ending with a laugh. That eased the tension. I'm glad. "Oh is it that?" " Yup" I said popping the 'p'. Diana gave Jake a sly smile. " So what else are you obsessed with Jake?" " Umm... Food and ........." "..... And" "........... Hot girls!!" He ended with a wide grin, winking at Diana. We all laughed. Drew leaned in towards me. " And what about you, beautiful?"

This made me blush. I could feel the heat rising in my face. My breath hitched in my throat. Drew was so close that I actually felt his 'aura' pulling me in. His perfume smelt heavenly... I got a whiff of the smell the moment I entered the hallway, the first time I saw him. Now it was overwhelming. Fuck!!! I could see him staring at me. " Oh well!!!! Umm..."

"Yes?"

I cleared my throat. Be confident my darling girl. Be strong. Don't let him take you so easily.

" Well... I love food..... Hot guys and......" "...... And?" ".....And vampires!!"

I could see them getting tensed. What's wrong? Did I say something offensive? They calmed down immediately. 

" You believe in Vampires?"

" Of course, both of us do!"

Just then the bell rang. I felt something was up. I wanted to ask them. But I guess, that would have to wait.
