Stranded

Chapter 1

I screamed, as I was thrown off the ship in the middle of an ocean. The cold smashed my face and body. All air left my lungs. I couldn't find what way was up, when suddenly I found the sun and blue sky. I swallowed tonnes of water whilst treading water. I was scared, cold and struggling to stay up when I spotted a little wooden boat paddling away. I drifted towards it and saw it was someone in the enemies uniform. I had no weapons so I wouldn't be able to get him off... instead I creeped up and held onto the end, hoping I didn't pass out from the cold.

I woke up on the boat. He had a gun pointed at my temples.
"Who are you? What you doing here?" He said.
"My name's Ruby and I was on that ship spying..."
I prepared to get shot when he told me to carry on.
"And I got thrown off, then saw your boat and held onto the end hoping I wouldn't pass out til we reached land."
"Ok."
Wait what. He didn't shoot me and why is he leaving the ship... I saw an oppertunity, snatched his gun, shifted backwards and pointed it towards his heart.
"Now I have some questions for you. Why are you leaving the ship and why didn't you shoot me?" I asked.
He gulped. I could tell he was trying to hide his fear.
"I.. umm. I didn't agree with what they were doing so I left. I didn't shoot you because umm yeah."
"WHY!" I shouted and started pulling the trigger.
"You seem kind and pretty and I'm not a murderer." He replied.
A smile creeped on my face. "How pathetic!" I shouted at him and he flinched. I didn't want him thinking I was weak.
"I'll let you stay on here with 3 conditions. 1: tell me your name. 2: I keep the gun. 3: don't talk to me unless I ask ywaou a question."
"Ok. My name is Jake and I agree to the conditions." The words rushed out of his mouth in panic and all I could think of was victory!
