It was just a normal day in the small town Derry, Eddie was in the middle of another fight with his mom, things seemed getting worse & worse with her. Richie was on his way to his house. It was the first day back from summer vacation. Eddies summer was actual hell. Richie soon gets to Eddie's house... he knocks & a few seconds later Eddie opened the door & Stomped out, slamming the door behind him. "Let's go" he muttered angrily
"You alright Eddie?" Richie asks putting his hand on Eddies back. "I'm fine" Eddie storms towards Richie's truck & sits in the passenger side. "You don't seem fine" Richie gets in the drivers seat & turns to Eddie. "What's up Eds? Remember you can tell me anything" Richie says trying to calm Eddie down. "It's just my mom, I was talking to her about something but she kept arguing with me & she wasn't making any sense" Eddie sat there for a second before breaking down. "All we ever do is fight" He sobbed. Richie hugs Eddie almost instantly, Eddie hugged back wiping his eyes. "I'm sorry that I started tofau like this", "Don't be sorry" Richie starts the truck "Come on, Where'd you wanna go?". Eddie shrugged "Wherever you wanna take me" Richie looks at Eddie & asks "Wanna go to the Arcade? Like we used to do?". Eddie nodded "that sounds perfect" Richie drives to the arcade with Eddie. They both get out the truck & walk towards the arcade.
"Which game is first?" Eddie asks, "You should pick" Richie tells Eddie. He walks on with Richie falling behind, he says under his breath "If you don't pick Street Fighter I'm gonna be real pissed". Eddie smiled "I kinda wanna play the game you've always wanted to play" "Street Fighter?" Richie asks. Eddie smiled & nodded "what else would I be talking about?" Richie tried not to look excited about playing Street Fighter or else Eddie would probably think he's a weirdo. Eddie walks over & pays for the game. "Go ahead Rich" he smiles cutely, "Thanks Eds" Richie immediately plays the game, being a pro at it. Eddie just stood there watching him.. He kinda felt the urge to kiss Richie's cheek. Which was very strange.
2 minutes later Richie is still playing that game while Henry Bowers & his crew walks up to ruin Richie's game, Richie & Eddie doesn't realize Bowers is there. Eddie then turned around & saw them, he was about to say something. Bowers pushes Richie onto the ground & laughs. "Ow What the fuck?!" Richie groans, Eddie gets on one knee to see if he's ok, he growls at them "Hey what is your fucking problem Bowers!" Bowers kicks Richie's leg. "This fag is my problem" Bowers chuckles, Richie screams in pain & everyone in the arcade pays attention to them. Eddie got angrier & punched fuck out of Bowers. Bowers got angry & had to beat Eddie to the ground. Richie lays there watching Eddie get beat up, Richie stands up & kicks Bowers in the stomach. Bowers groaned & punched Richie in the nuts Eddie was bleeding & groaning, Richie screams & punches bowers in the face & Bowers falls on his back. Eddie rubbed his nose & feeling a black eye forming. Richie grabs Eddie's hand & runs out the arcade, Eddie was in pain. A lot pain, but he can run with him. Eddie & Richie eventually get to the Barrens & stop, Richie thinks this is a could place to stop thinking their safe. "Fuck" Richie says trying to catch his breath, "Eddie are you alright?". Eddie nodded & sat on the grass. He wanted to cry. He was very suicidal. "Eddie y-you have a black eye" Richie stuttered, Eddie covered his eye "I'm alright, I just don't know what I'm gonna do. If I go home like this, my mom won't want me to hang out with you anymore". "Shit, shit, fuck first your arm now your eye. This is my fault anyway" Richie said Sniffing, Eddie shook his head "it's not your f-fault! Don't worry about it, I'll be ok, t-trust me" Eddie stuttered, he could hardly speak. "Either way I'm still going to hang out with you". "Promise Eds? I don't wanna lose you" Richie started to cry, Eddie smiled & nodded "I promise" he took Richie's hand. Richie looked into Eddie's eyes with a tear running down his face, Eddie wiped his eyes, his heart was throbbing violently. Richie puts his hand on Eddie's cheek, Eddie felt like something was gonna happen, he shut his eyes & leaned in slowly. Richie leans in close then suddenly they hear someone shouting in the distance "THERE THEY ARE!" It was Henry Bowers & his crew. Eddie quickly turned "Shit. Shit" he shouted & turned to Richie "what do we do?". "We fucking run" Richie grabs Eddie's hand & both run like hell, Eddie's mind was racing, how did they find them so quickly? How far away are they now? What will they do when they catch them? Bowers ran even faster than both of them. He had a new knife than what he had in 7th grade. "Don't look back Eddie just keep running" Richie shouted trying to catch some breath. Eddie was scared, he tried running faster but this was as fast as he could go. He wanted to stand up to them, the anger grew bigger & bigger. He slowed down to stop, Richie couldn't hear Eddie's running anymore behind him, he looks back "Eddie what the fuck are you doing come on!" He shouts. Eddie shook his head, "We need to stop this. If you don't want me too I will. You can stand by & call an ambulance if anything happens", Richie became even more scared as Bowers gets closer to him. Eddie was going to shit himself but he had his fists ready. "Eddie he's getting closer what are you doing?!" Richie sees Eddie fist "oh fuck" Richie whispers to himself. Eddie started to cry & he started to run into Bowers, he jumped & kicked him in his gut. He landed on top of Bowers & grabbed him by the collar. Eddie has ready to start pounding his face in but he didn't. He held fists & broke into tears. "EDDIE!" Richie ran as fast as he could, faster than before over to Eddie & kicked the knife out of Bowers hand & stomps on his hand. Richie looked up at the rest of his crew & grabbed the knife, they just gave in & ran away. Eddie wiped his eyes & couldn't punch him. The guilt got the best of him. He sobbed uncontrollably, Richie puts his arms under his shoulders & pulls him off Bowers. "Eddie we gotta go now" Richie shouted. Eddie cried & wiped his eyes, he took Richie's hand then ran away. Eddie had no idea where he was going he just kept running. They stop near the Well house, the last place they saw Pennywise. Eddie caught his breath sat down in the grass. "You alright? What the hell happened back there?" Richie asks, Eddie just shook his head & looked at the grass. "Eddie?" Richie sat down & took Eddie's hand "You did good Eddie". Eddie said nothing, he just took Richie & hugged him. Richie freezes for a second then hugs him back. Eddie sighed into Richie's shoulder, "I don't know what happened.... I just felt guilty for trying to beat him up" Eddie sobbed. "He deserves it for all he's done to us. Me, you, Bill, Stanley & the others." Richie said rubbing Eddie's arm, Eddie nodded "I felt so bad for hurting him, I just couldn't do it" Eddie curled up & frowned "I'm sorry". Richie sighed "Your such a pussy Eddie" Richie grabs the back of Eddie's head & pulled it really close to his, Richie kissed Eddie on his lips, Eddie was surprised at first, slowly melting into the kiss, he rested his hand & Richie's cheek. Richie pulled away & stared into Eddie's eyes. "Sorry Eds" Richie now has a tear running down his face. Eddie looked into Richie's eyes "What for...?". "For kissing you.... you probably don't feel the same way" Richie starts crying but try's not to show it. Eddie leaned in & kissed him again. Richie was a bit shocked.. he shut his eyes & took Eddie's hand. Eddie slowly laid down with Richie as they kiss, Eddie intertwined his fingers with Richie's. Richie stops for a second "Eddie, I-I.. I love you so much" Richie stuttered. "I love you too Richie" Eddie kisses Richie's cheek then begins to worry, Richie sees the worry in his eyes. "What's wrong?" Richie asks placing his hand on Eddie's cheek, Eddie looked at Richie "What if our friends don't approve of what just happened?". Richie looks at Eddie "They will & even if they don't who cares what they think?" Richie said. Eddie took his hand & nodded. "I don't even this their real friends if they don't accept us" Richie said rubbing Eddie's arm. Eddie nodded "I guess your right"
