Chapter 32- Romance is in the Air

"I said I apologise-" He started again.

"No, not that! What did you say about my friend? Which friend?"

"Holly-"

"Holly!" I screeched.

"Can you please-"

"How did you get in contact with her?" I asked him curiously.

"Well-"

"Most importantly why did you get in contact with her?"

"I-"

I rubbed my temples with my finger as I interrupted him once again. "This does not make any sense." The last word came as a muffle due to Ethan capturing my mouth behind his hand. I looked up at him as I froze under his touch. His blue eyes twinkled down at me as he formed a sexy smirk. How I wish I could kiss those sexy irresistible lips. But my thoughts were interfered by the hunk standing in front of me as his deep voice vibrated down my spine.

"You are really bad at interrupting me. I am trying to explain myself, if I remove my hand will you let me talk without you butting in?"

I nodded my head and he slowly removed his hand from my mouth. I waited for him to start explaining this thing with Holly.

"When you left that evening I realised I never asked you to be my girlfriend. I was thinking how stupid of me to forget something so important. I went for a walk to clear my head and that's where I saw Holly coming out of a grocery shop. I told her everything and she explained how you would think that I would ask you to be my girlfriend at the office so she told me to act all bossy and angry to throw you off the scent. But when I was playing my role and you mentioned Chris I don't know why but I felt jealous so my real anger did emerge." He cupped my face with his hands. "I am sorry; I hope you could forgive me. I know I won't be able to make it up to you due to making your day so difficult. But I promise if you become my girlfriend you could nag, slap, torture me all you want and I won't utter a word."

My heart beat rapidly as soon as he uttered those words. But when I saw him get to his knees and reached to his pocket inside his jacket, my heart tried to escape from my chest as it pounded against my skin. I gasped as my hand went to my mouth, "Myra, You would make me a happy man if you would say yes. Will you be my girlfriend?" There on his knees was Ethan as he looked at me with a red rose in his hand as he held it up towards me.

I was in shock; my body was frozen in place. I didn't want to move thinking this moment will disappear into thin air. "Myra?" Ethan asked in confusion. I cannot believe I was standing here with Ethan on his knees asking me to be his girlfriend. Am I dreaming? No I can't be! This is real, it feels very real. I cleared my throat before taking the rose in my hand and screaming into the air around us, "YES!"

He engulfed me into a hug before leaning down to give me a sweet kiss on the lips. The feeling I had at the moment made me feel alive, I felt like I was at the top of the world and nothing could hurt me now. Ethan captured my hand into his and pulled me towards the hut, I sat down on the small sofa like platform. I couldn't help but ask, "Is this yours or Holly's idea?"

"Mine." He gave me small smile, "Holly's idea was really bad."

"What was it?"

"She gave me tips to seduce you." He chuckled.

I rolled my eyes at his word that was typical of Holly. "Of course she did."

Before I could say anything else Ethan captured my lips with his. I felt the small bubbly feeling in the pit of my stomach as I slowly kissed him satisfying the feeling within me. "I love you Myra." He spoke softly as he gazed into my eyes.
