The crowd cheered and the band played the fight song. Our team had won the game, it almost made me excited. The last game they had lost miserably by like 40 points, and I was extremely bored last game. This game was different, it was like I had butterflies flying all around in my stomach. My face felt so warm as I grabbed my stuff and quickly shoved everything in my backpack.

"Come on Cole," I said as I grabbed his arm and pulled him away from the band.

"Why are you in such a rush Dorian," he said as he struggled to get down the stairs without falling.

"Kyle!" I shouted as we caught up to him, I let go of Cole's arm.

He turned to me with a grin, "Hello little brother!" He suddenly grabbed me and ruffled my hair.

"Kyle, what are you doing?" I said as I attempted to push myself away from me.

He pulled me with him as we walked back to the band room. I watched the guy walk past us grimacing at his brother. He glanced at me, I turned away to look at my brother expecting an explanation.

He grabbed a girl's arm and hooked our arms together. Her face flushed as she looked at our arms intertwined.

"She thinks you guys are cute, good luck little brother!" He winked at me and left running.

The poor girl stared down at her feet, I sighed as I let go of her arm.

"I apologize for my brother," I say, rubbing the back of my head.

She stares down at the ground even more frustrated, "It's okay."

"Look, I don't want to give you falso hope so I'll tell you straightforward right now. I'm not interested in being in a relationship with you because of this type of situation. I'm sorry," I felt more at ease for telling her now and not later.

She started to cry and before I could say anything Cole grabbed my arm.

"Cole, let go, I should have done something for her," I said as I softly attempted to make him let go of my arm.

"I know that if you stayed there with her, she would have guilt you into going out her go. I understand your situation so I would never let that happen, even if Kyle still thinks your straight," I don't think I've ever seen my best friend look so mature.

Did he always look so much bigger than me? Not physically at least, he's a couple of inches shorter than me; but just bigger.

We traveled down the stairs of the arts building to reach the band room. We waited in the hallway for Kyle to come out, he was taking such a long time.

A girl came out of the band room and stood in front of us. She was probably a Senior or a Junior, she looked pretty old. Her arrogant eyes stared at us as I began to feel uncomfortable from her stare.

She was pretty preppy for a band kid, she was wearing a skirt and high heels. A shirt was tucked into the skirt that said yolo. Her really curly brown hair reached just below her shoulders. Her green eyes didn't stop piercing into me. She looked one of the typical popular girls. I bet she plays flute...

I younger girl, maybe a Freshman-walked out of the band room. She was more the definition of a band kid. She was wearing a school spirit shirt with a pair of shorts that touched the top of her knees. It definitely showed her well built body, she must be an athlete along with being in band. She had long black hair that reached her forearm and warm chocolate brown eyes. Her wrists were covered in leather bracelets. She had a Fairy Tail and I wanted to squeal. Not quite sure if she might play clarinet or sax...

She walked past us and tripped on one of the shoes of the older.

"Oops, didn't see you there Freshmeat," the older girl laughed.
