SIRIUS

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"C'mon, Padfoot, we're gonna be late! Where's Moony? James shouted in Sirius' ear.
"We have fifteen minutes!" Sirius replied, though also had no explanation for Remus' whereabouts. He thought Remus was right behind him. "Moony!"
"Shut up, I'm right here!" Remus groaned in annoyance, pulling his cart up behind him.
It wasn't long before the typical rivalries made their presence known again. Boisterous laughter sounded close behind them. The three boys turned in unison, beholding a boy with golden hair hair tied back in a thick ribbon. He was accompanied by younger students under his influence: Barty Crouch Jr. and Arthur Nott. He swiped Remus' ticket from his pocket. Remus launched at Amerus Avery, but Avery dodged him with a flick of his wrist. A smirk was plastered on his pale face. While Remus was growing irritated, Sirius and James returned his smirk.
"Look at his cute little bow," James teased, gesturing to the ribbon in Amerus' hair. Amerus swatted his hand away.
Remus ended up standing in annoyance as he waited for the whole thing to blow over; James and Sirius laughed at the growing tension among the Slytherin's. Amerus and the boys on his flank were pushed aside, the ticket plucked from his hand by Peter. Avery straightened his bow with a glare of disgust. James roared with laughter. Avery looked astounded.
"Why you little-"
"Oh, shut your damn trap, Avery." Remus snapped and turned his back with an eye roll, earning a shocked look from the Slytherin boys. Avery and his friends stuck up their faces and pushed through the wizards that arrived late. This was the last year they had to suffer the older boy's taunts, as he was a seventh-year. Since Sirius, James, Remus and Peter had already put their stuff with with the prefects, they were now milling around Platform 9 3/4  before they had to return to the train. Sirius stuck his hands in his pockets. The familiar feeling of his wand wasn't there. His eyes went wide as he patted his pockets.
"My wand is gone!" He turned in a circle, searching the ground around his feet.
"Maybe Amerus-" Remus started.
"Nah," He shook his head. "He didn't come near me." Sirius crouched to the ground, looking past people's walking feet.
No wand. Sighing, Sirius stood and brushed off his pants.
"I'll be back," He jogged out of the platform through the magic wall.
"I'll help look," Peter offered, having followed him through. Sirius smiled gratefully.
"Great! Look back that way." And Peter obliged. Sirius scanned the ground, being as subtle as he could around Muggles. As he did, he saw a huge cart being wheeled through the crowd. Sirius stood all the way up. Upon standing, he saw a girl about his age looking down at her ticket. He recognized the ticket as one for the Hogwarts express. Plus, an owl calmly fluttered in its cage. The girl had flowing, brown hair that reached past the middle of her back. She was very pretty, and he wondered if he knew her. His conclusion was that he did not. Sirius brushed off his un-tucked shirt and started towards the girl to introduce himself. Sirius was behind her when he spoke.
"That's a nice lookin' owl you got there," The girl spun around, startled. As she did, her shoulder connected with his chest. Sirius briefly held her shoulders to steady her before lowering them back to his sides.
"Oh, Merlin!" She said in a hurry. "I'm so sorry!" Her accent was foreign. He knew now why he didn't recognize her: she must be a transfer! Sirius laughed lowly, taking her in. Sunglasses covered her face so his eyes were instead drawn to her soft jawline and lips, which were painted with gloss. She was also dressed like a Muggle in corduroy bell bottoms and loose cardigan.
