"A serial killer who kills hitchhikers picks up a serial killer who kills the people who pick him up."

James stopped the car and honked at the figure near the hood of his truck, the figure's thumb still pointing up, signaling the passing cars for help. John could see the figure was a man, now that he turned his high beams on, honking his horn again. The man made his way to the passenger door and pulled on the handle, yanking the door open with force. He hopped in and slammed it behind him, slipping his other hand into his hoodie pocket as he did so.

"Whats your name partner?" James asked, starting to make his move towards the newcomer.

"Francis." The man mumbled as he also started to move in on James, toying with the object in his pocket. James smiled and leaned in closer, almost brushing his forehead with Francis',

"Have you ever wondered what its like to die, Francis?" His eyes where wild now and Francis looked up to meet his gaze.

"Just about to ask you the same thing.." He said while wiping out the object in his pocket and starting to thrust it towards James. Suddenly he stopped, he was looking face to face with James and noticed that James had pulled a knife out, but had stopped in the same second.

"You kill people too?" James said, his insane look replaced by one of pure joy.

"Yeah!" Francis said, his voice resounding with delight, "Do you think you could drop me off near the gas station?" He quickly asked while putting his weapon away.

"Yeah, of course!" James said while putting his knife away quickly, "I'll even get you dinner, on the house!" James buckled in and started the car smiling warmly.

"Thanks so much man," Francis said while settling down in his seat, "That means a lot to me!" He finished.

"No problem." James said, starting to pull out of the side of the road. Francis sighed slowly,

"You're going to try and kill me again aren't you?" He asked, still smiling. James laughed with a gleam in his eyes,

"Yeah, probably."
