"Good morning, Carrie." The blonde woman heard her mother say as she quietly entered the hospital room. "Are, are you going to talk today? I hate to sound pushy, I have just missed you so much." Carole said, sitting on the edge of the bed.

"I, I've missed you too. I'm really sorry that I wasn't talking to any of you yesterday." Carrie apologized, licking her lips as she turned over, looking up at her mother. "Can, can you hug me?" Carole hugged her daughter tightly, right after Carrie had spoke.

"Honey, I never thought I would hug you again." Carole said, letting the hug linger for a few seconds before pulling away from her daughter. "Oh my gosh." Carole added, hugging Carrie for the second time.

"Mom, I've missed you so much." Carrie replied, clutching onto her mother tightly. "Can you lay with me?" She asked, them pulling away again, wiping tears from her eyes.

"Of course, sweetie."  Carole smiled, kissing her daughter's forehead before laying down beside her daughter in the bed. "Talk to me honey." Carole wrapped her arm around Carrie.

"I, I, I just want all of the memories gone Moma. I, I can't, I can't stop thinking about it. Everything just keeps replaying in my head." The young blonde cried, onto her mother's shoulder, Carole taking a deep breath.

"Sweetheart," Carole sighed, rubbing Carrie's back gently. "I'm so sorry. Do you want to talk about it?" Carole questioned, only Carrie immediately shook her head.

"I don't want it stuck in your head too." The woman answered, Carole hugging Carrie tighter. "Can we please not talk about it?" She licked her lips, her mother nodding her head.

Carrie was traumatized daily in the past five years of her life. She was abused, raped, nearly killed but she didn't want to think about it anymore, only, she felt she didn't have a choice. The memories seemed to be engraved on her brain. Carrie felt as if no matter what she did, she would never be able to forget the past five years of her life.

"Tomorrow, could you call Mark, Ivey, Lissa, and Mike? I want to see them. I feel terrible for not talking to anyone." Carrie confessed, after a few minutes of silence.

"Of course honey, I think that Mike and Ivey are here though. Ivey texted me not too long ago and I told them I was going to talk to you." Carole replied, Carrie sitting up straight, pushing her hair out of her face.

"I, will you bring them in here? Do I, do I look alright?" Carrie asked, pressing her lips together.

"You look great, sweetie. Are you sure?" Carole placed both hands on the side of Carrie's face, gently kissing her daughter's cheek.

"Yeah, when, when is dad coming back?"

"He should be on his way." Carole answered, hugging Carrie. "Honey, I am so incredibly proud of you." The older woman added, causing a faint smile to appease on Carrie's face. "I will go get them."

Carrie reached over and grabbed the mirror that was sitting on the table beside her bed and held it up to her face. "Not as bad as I figured." She mumbled to herself, pushing her hair out of her face.
