I walk into the kitchen and find a note on the fridge. My mother needs me to go to the store to get some things. I sigh and take the list with me as I grab the house keys and walk out the door. A few moments later I walk into the supermarket and see Maya. I smile and wave. Once I get everything I need I walk up to her to buy everything.

"Hey Maya."
"Lucas! Hey. How was your date with Riley last night?" She asked ringing up some toilet paper.
"It went well. The film scared her so we left early but I had fun."

She rang some other things up as a guy walked up behind her.

"Guess who!?" He had his hands over her eyes.
"Josh! You're back!" She smiled.

She turned around to hug him and as they pulled away he gave me a wierd look.

"Who's this?" I asked.
"Oh this is Josh. He works here during the week like me. He was out of town on vacation for a few days." She smiled.
"Oh. Hey man I'm Lucas." I waved at him.
"Oh Lucas! You're her best friend right?"

I nodded as I finished placing my things on the counter. I rubbed the back of my neck as Maya rang up a pack of condoms.

"Uh.. that'll be $12.79."
"I'll see you later."

I handed her the money and left.

Maya's POV:
I was walking home after my shift while texting Josh. We're Lucas and Riley having sex? They're only 16. Riley's not even. Was I too innocent? It made me sad to think that even if I had a chance with him I wouldn't be good enough.

Josh: Hey. What are you doing tonight?

I have to do my chores that I've been putting off all week. Why?

Josh: Want to see a movie with me sometime?

Sure. How's tomorrow night?

Josh: I'll pick you up at 7. :)

I walked into my apartment smiling and instantly went to my room. I walked in to see Lucas sitting on my bed.

"Sorry about that earlier." He says standing up.

"Oh the condoms?" I ask laughing.

"Yeah. Heh I guess it was just easier to buy them from you than some cashier I didn't know." He chuckles.

"If you can't talk about it or be seen with anything sexual without getting uncomfortable then you shouldn't do anything sexual Lucas. Simple."

"Says the Virgin."

We both laugh and watch TV. It gets late and he gets up to go.

"Same time tomorrow?"

"I can't. I have a date."

Lucas's POV:
A date? She has a date? With who?

"Oh okay. With who?"

"Josh. We're going to the movies."

"Isn't he a bit old for you?"

"He's 17. He's only 2 years older." She says crossing her arms.

"Okay. Okay chill. I just worry about you."

"You should probably worry more about your girlfriend. She's calling you by the way." She points to my phone.

I hit ignore and leave out her window.
