Everything had been pretty quiet since Blackjack had learned to use green energy and revived everyone. He went back to working with Sans in the lab. Sans and Blackjack were happy. However, something was bothering Aria. "What's wrong?" Sans asked his girlfriend. "I got completely and totally pummeled by the human. It killed me in two hits. I felt completely defenseless. Never again do I want that to happen." "Hey, don't worry. Blackjack and I will train you. I'm better with magic so I can help you with that. Blackjack is the fighter of the three of us so he can train you in the three fighting styles that the monsters used in the war," Sans told her gently. "We can discover your magical powers and hone them to perfection."
Just then Blackjack had a sharp pain in his head. "Agh!" He screamed. "What's wrong?" Sans asked concernedly. "Nothing. Just a headache. It's gone now. Anyway, your training starts tomorrow, Aria."
A few days later...
Aria had learned a few new techniques, but she had yet to discover her magical ability. Blackjack had been watching her magic training one day when Sans had the same headache that Blackjack had the other day. "Okay, something's going on here," said Aria. "Blackjack had the exact same type of headache when you two were working in the lab." "I'm fine," Sans said. "Right now, we need to worry about getting your powers. All we've figured out is that you can turn into a cat." "I'm sorry, babe, but Blackjack's training wore me smooth out. Can we take a nap and try again tonight? My focus is better at night anyway," Aria said. "You know I'm all for naps. Meet back here at midnight," Sans replied. So they all went in for a nap.
5 hours later...
"Are you ready, Aria?" Sans asked. Aria replied, "Of course." "Try focusing your energy on that spot," Sans said. Aria nodded her head, closed her eyes, and focused as hard as she could. "woah!" Blackjack said. Aria opened her eyes and was in disbelief. There was a ray of moonlight shining down on the spot she was focusing on. Blackjack went over to touch it and it nearly burned his hand off. Sans wasn't focusing on the light beam, though. He was interested in Aria's eyes. "Sans, stop making goo goo eyes at your girlfriend and... woah!" "What?" Aria queried. Then, she looked down at the pond that she was beside and saw that her eyes were shining white like the moon. "Well, we've discovered your power. You can manipulate moonlight," Sans said. "Now we just need to teach you how to use it in combat." Just then, both Sans and Blackjack got the headaches again. This time it was much worse than last time. "Aaaaaaagh!!!" They both screamed. Then, they started having a vision. It was a silhouette of a bald human... wait... no. It was a skeleton. As the image got clearer, they saw holes in his hands, and two cracks in his skull. One above his right eye and one below his left eye. This wasn't just any skeleton. It was Gaster.
