Chapter 6: Partying and Forgetting

He glances over my way and smirks when he finds me looking at him already. If it wasn't for that one bit of feeling that's still in me I wouldn't have noticed I'm staring.

"Like what you see, peanut?"

I don't answer. I just face forward and watch the road change.

He pulls into his driveway and rolls down his window as he approaches the huge gate. He presses the button on the intercom.

"McCormick residence, how may I help you?" a man speaks over.

"Hey Barry, it's Liam."

"Pleasure to hear your voice, Liam."

"Pleasure to be heard."

I roll my eyes at his ego. He pulls up to a pale blue, mansion styled house that has a huge window that could be the size of Texas. I bulge my eyes and get out of the car.

"Come on Peanut, before you kill yourself." He grips my elbow pulling me.

"What about your parents?"

"Out of town with my sister," he mumbles.

He ends up getting me upstairs and to his room. He's fishing through a drawer as I'm watching his muscles on his back flex every time he moves his perfect body. He throws a giant t-shirt at me that has his football number and last name on the back of it and it says Highland Academy on the front. I shrug.

"The bathroom is right there." He tells me pointing to an open door. I nod and smile before retreating to it. I pull this tight dress off of me and pull the loose shirt over my head. I look at myself in the huge mirror. My hair is a mess so I throw it up into a bun. I wash off my makeup revealing my plain tan skin with brown wisps framing my face. I walk out of the bathroom rubbing my arm nervously. My eyes snag onto Liam's and his reaction actually surprises me.

He gapes his mouth open and tousles a hand through his blonde hair. His dark eyes go wide as he takes me in from head to toe. "Wow, um." He rubs the back of his neck, "you can take the bed if you want."

"No, I wouldn'twanna take yourspace." I'm still slurring.

"Then we're both sleeping here," he tells me.

I nod and walk over before sliding into bed next to him. I curl up getting comfortable but I still feel uncomfortable. I reach over and grab Liam's hand to wrap him around me.

"Whatcha doin' peanut?" He asks me quite amused.

"Well I'm cold and the blanket isn't suiting it for me," I tell him with a shrug. He lets out a low chuckle but moves closer to my request.

His leg intertwines with mine and I swear it causes my eyes to roll into the back of my head. I flip around and my eyes meet his bare chest first. Not complaining. His arm slips around my waist and pulls me closer to him. I finally meet his eye and they're filled with so much lust while mine fills with innocence.

"You know," he starts as he drags a finger Dow the length of my jawline. "A lot of the guys say you screwed them. Even while you were with Hudson."

"It's not true." I tell him "if that wants you to want to know."

"I was. I just didn't know what to believe." He admits. "I mean have you met yourself?"

"I've only ever slept with Hudson. He was, unfortunately, my first everything. Which made the whole cheating on me worse. And knowing he still loves me." I sigh and nestle my head on his chest.

"He still loves you?" He asks surprised.

I nod. "He probably left me for Mackenzie because she's like drop dead gorgeous."
