Scared To Be Confident

Part 1

Ella stuffed her books in her locker and headed to lunch. She met up with her friend Lilly.

"Took you long enough, El!" Lilly teased when Ella finally reached the lunch line in the cafeteria.

"Oh hush Lil," Ella couldn't help a smile. They both filled their treys and payed, then walked to their same table they always do. "Anything new in science?" Ella asked, tucking her short black hair back behind her ears. Lilly grinned.

"Mr. Longstin gave that 'Mister Bad-Boy' kid detention."

"Wait, Shane? Shane Claw?! The high school bad-boy?!" Ella exclaimed. Lilly nodded. "He always gets away with everything!"

Lilly smirked. "Not this time."

Ella had to admit, she was kind of glad he got in trouble for once. Well, he always got in trouble. She meant she was glad he actually got punished. Justice! She smiled a little bit but stifled a giggle.

Lilly ate her food. So did Ella. Ella had so much work she couldn't even think of anything else. As soon as she got home, her schedule was all planned out.

Eat a snack;
Homework;
Break;
More homework;
Another small snack;
Finish homework;
Dinner;
Read;
Study;
Break;
Study more;
Then go to bed.

During her breaks she liked to call Lilly or FaceTime her, but she usually didn't go out much. She was always the shy girl in school. Lilly was more of the partying type, but she wasn't that much more outgoing than Ella was.

A shadow cast down on her, and she looked up from her meal. There he was. Why was he here..? In the lunch room. In front of her. Right in front of her. He skipped detention! She thought. She took in his tall figure, and dirty blond hair with that black leather jacket he was famous for wearing. His bright blue eyes glinted mischievously. Shane. Shane Claw skipped detention. Big surprise...
