Hope, Faith and A Pencil Turn

Chapter 1

As I think through my turn, squeeze, lift, smile
I feel the spotlight on my face and the wood floor against my my shoes. I finish my solo with a drop to the floor and a smile. When I get off stage my best friend is waiting on me.
"You did great", she said, giving me a smile.
"You think so"
" Yea"
"Do good "
"Always"
The announcer calls out her name as she walks out on the stage and gets in position.
Oh crap I thought to myself, I have a other dance.
I had enough time remaining to do my makeup and change into the costume. My other dance was a jazz one while the first was lyrical.
When the showcase is over, all the dancers come out for a bow.
Bri and I gathered our stuff from our dressing rooms, then headed out where my brother Mason was waiting on us. He had a bouquet of flowers in each hand, one for each of us. He hands Bri hers then me mine.   
"Thank you", Bri and I said at that the same time.
"You're welcome girls".
Just as he said that, Katie our manager came to us.
"I'm sorry to cut this short girlies but unless you want to get caught in a mass of reporters, then we have to go."
"I'll see you later Bri, love ya". I said as I waved goodbye. Our limo was waiting on us as we walked to the vallet check in where it was. Our

"Mom said she'll met us at the restaur.±ant for dinner"
I gave a slight nod ,I needed to change out of this costume.
Hour later
I changed into a ocean blue dress with black heels while Mason changes into a black suit . We arrive as mom was calling us.
"Hey mom"
" Your late ", mom said to both of us .
Mason was the first to speak up between the both of us.
" I know mom, we're sorry, we needed to change clothes"
" ok, but you better be on time tomorrow" ,mom said .
We took our seats at our table to see the sliver ware already on the table.
I picked up my menu to see what I wanted for dinner. I choose a dish, I hardly get when we come here. It was Confit de canard. A very fancy word for duck meat in salt and garlic, it came with potatoes and garlic on the side.
I would rather take a nice burger with fries then a fancy meal I say. I'm not the type of girl that just eats salad, that's for rabbits and i ain't a rabbit.
The food came out around half a hour later, the loaves of bread came out with it to. Mason had some lamb soup and mom had a salad. After the meal, I was stuffed from the meal and ready to go to bed.

There was two Suburbans was waiting for us when we got out of the restaurant. Mom got into the one in front of us and we pop got into the other one.
We had two bodyguards with us, josé and Vinnie in the back. Vinnie was like that fun until we you have in the family, he can goof off but be serious when needed.
He nudged my shoulder from where he's at. "Yes Vinnie", I say to him.
"You look bloated"
"I feel like I am bloated" .
"To the apartment"? The driver asked us. I looked over to Mason, he nodded. "yes", I replied back.
To the apartment, it is.
