        My mind was elsewhere while driving. All of a sudden the engine starts to putter. I quickly turn the car into the shoulder. The car's engine slowly dies . As I exit the car I thought I saw something whip past in the distance. The trees sway in the calm wind as I look into the forest.

         I guess it was just a shadow of the trees nearby. I reach into my pocket and call a tow company to come pick up my car. A/N ( Author's note) You described where you were before I get any complaints. I decide to wait outside my car to see if I can see the tow truck in the distance. As  I check I hear a faint laugh. It was almost inaudible but still noticable . I play around on my phone a bit with the laughter still ringing in my ears. The laughter dies as the tow truck comes into view.

         The driver started talking  in a boring tone, " What seems to be the problem miss," "Well my car engine died,"  I replied gesturing toward the broken vehicle I called reliable til now. I then flip my hand for my palm to be facing upward and positioned it on my head like a southern lady. He sighs and gets back into his rusty truck and latches the hook onto the underside of my car's front end. After he got my car all hooked up, he leaned over the steering wheel and says "Need a ride". I nodded and jumped in the truck with my bags in hand. 

           I direct him to Gravity Falls since I had the GPS app on my phone. He looked at me with a questioning stare. " Now why would you like to go to the run down town of Gravity Falls. " My family used to come down here every summer before my Mom died", I say with teary eyes . He stops me before I go on. "I'm sorry about your Mom." He tries to make a friendly conversation after the awkwardness of the last question ."So what do you like doing for fun?", he asks. "Oh I like  f/a (Favorite activity),"I say staring out the window. "Oh, cool..,"he replies. I'm guessing he's not  much of a conversationalist. The rest of the trip I listen to music with my f/c (Favorite Color) headphones while the tow truck driver whistles his own tune to himself. As we were nearing Gravity Falls he tells me I can pick it up by the company shop in the middle of  town in two days from now which is Wednesday.                                                                                                                                                                               

               We stop at a little house on a little patch of non wooded area in the forest with a path leading to it from a road. I take my bags out of the truck along with myself. The driver waves me goodbye and I focus my view on the movers pulling up to my new house with the rest of my stuff. They started lugging in furniture after I unlock the door. I was given the key after I bought the house a week ago. The movers finally got finished after almost an hour of unpacking. A/N I don't know how long it takes to move. 

            Finally, I settle into my house after arrranging things the way I wanted after the movers left. I flop on my bed in a lazy fashion and kick off my shoes to relax. I decide to take a quick nap from my long morning drive. 

            I was falling In a dark hole? I want to scream for help but I can't make a sound. I am terrified  but I can't  feel any terror. I am all alone. I hit the ground after what felt like an hour of falling. My legs didn't hurt though. It was still dark but I could feel the ground beneath me. I look up to see my Mom in the distance. Tears build up in my eyes. I run to her and try to hug her but she fades away from my closed embrace. She reappears behind me looking down at her feet. I tremble to the ground balling my eyes out.

            I wake up crying and hugging my pillow tightly. I try to check the time on my phone but my tears blurr my eyes. I wipe my tears away . It's been a while, it's almost 4 . I'll check out the diner I saw on the way here. I'll have to walk though since I don't have my car back yet. "Ugh"

I will try to update weekly if I can't I will get new chapters out early as possible. I know this chapter is short but I will try to make them longer. Keep in mind this is my first story.
