I was supposed to fill in. What a lie.

America was weird. First day, I didn't know what subjects I had, I didn't know the place, neither who to ask. When a male voice surprised me from the back.

"You must be the new girl, right?" he was a short brunnette boy, blue eyed with pale skin. He was cute.

"Em, yes" I nodded "I'm Megan Thorne", he laughted and I wish it was because of my strong British accent.

He looked happy, "follow me then Megan" he turned and started walking as I followed him.

"I'm the in most of your classes" he said having a look to a paper I didn't know what was, "I'll show you the place", I was so thankful, I needed someone here. "By the way, I'm Connor".

After showing me where the doors linked to, and giving me a handmade map, I had English class and biology, boring.

It was lunch time. I was quite lost. But when I finally found the place a voice asked me "come with us?", it was Connor. As I joyned his table he introduced me the people there. "This is Ellie and Kurt" he said at first.

"Hey", Ellie was really pretty, I was jealous.

"This are Sally and his boyfriend Max" he explained looking at a cute couple new to a quiet girl "and this shy sunshine is Liah" he said pointing at her as she got blushed. "Connor, why do you have to say I'm shy, I'm not!" she replied with a sweet voice.

"I know, I know, I was jocking babe" he said.

Babe. "It was cute" I though. I was sure that girl Liah liked Connor a lot, but she never told him.

At the end of the day I had met about 40 new people, but I couldn't remember all the names.

I came back home to find my mum cleaning with music at the background.

"Hey mum, I'm home" I shouted.

"Um, welcome sweetheart" she replied. "How was your day?"

"Great. I've met some nice guys at the lunch time"

"Yeah?" she seemed surprised of me making friends.

"Yes mum. I was wondering if you minded if I go out with them tomorrow afternoon" I said while going upstairs to my bedroom.

She nooded, "okay" she finally said.

I was quite happy, because my mum was being really nice to me. It was frightening too.

"It's been too long since I talk with your dad" she said when I came to the livingroom. I knew she was taking that to a long conversation about how hard my dad worked and that the fact he wasn't barely at home wasn't my fault and all that stuff I've been listening to since I was 10.

"It's okay mum. I know" I said.

I came back to my bedroom and I called Ashton, I really missed him. He was like my brother.

I looked at my phone to find out two missed calls from Ashton.

I called him and he picked the phone at the first beep.

"Hi" he shouted through the phone.

"Hey" I couldn't resist my excitement to hear a familiar voice again. I knew I was with him yesterday, but I had missed him much more than I thought I would.

"How is it going American girl?" I laughted

"Really well, I have met some nice people and I've met a girl that would fit perfectly with you" he made a noise "her name's Ellie, I would introduce you some day".

"Sure" he said not caring at all.

After talking with him for an hour he told me it was about 2am in London, and tomorrow he had school so he was leaving. I didn't thought about time zones. I'm stupid.

I was excited for another day at school, I wanted to make friends and get high grades.

I was ready to make a change in my life.
