XXIV. Heroine and the Captured Targets (1)

Today was the birthday of the daughter of my father's subordinate and one of the in-game Celine's followers, Coleen Shade.

Mother shows me the dress that I will wear today and it is a pretty pink gown with a cute, big pink hat. The gown was like those western historical movies that a princess or aristocratic lady wore. I thought that I will never try to wear something like this, who knows that since my rebirth I can now wear something as beautiful as this.

In my past life, it was quite embarrassing if you wear something like Lolita dresses or a gown unless there was a party or you're a member of royalty or nobility... but since I became Celine, I have now privileges to do so without embarrassing oneself. 

This party will be my very first participation in a social gathering for nobles and I was quite nervous since I also know that today I will meet the other main characters of the game. I don't remember what kind of event today but the thing that will happen today will change my life and this makes me nervous.

As I wore the gown and hat, I also wore a white lacy gloves, a pink 2 inch heels, and a white lacy stocking though it will not be showed to the public but this was kind of Victorian era were women can't show any skin since it is a disgraceful.

I make sure that my gifts are all well prepared since I don't want to shame myself being a duke's daughter but can't prepare any presents... it will only add to my dirty reputation *sigh*. My gift was a magical bracelet made from black viper orb and scale. It has the power to nullify any poison and magical attacks for three times. It's a very rare and valuable accessory.

After my talk with master Troy the other day, he also raises my rank. Since I don't want to get any attention from other adventurer, I asked him not to raise my rank too much, so, from rank F, I am now rank E... it is not a noticeable changes so it satisfy me.

I am together with Kyle and mother, Father was in capital since he has a work to do while Chris niisama was now studying at Ygdrassil Magical Academy for a year now. It was difficult to meet him since Arcadia was very far from our kingdom and he can only left the academy once every month for three days. Since Chris niisama and father were not here, Kyle stand as my escort. He wore an elegant dirty white suite and he gell his dark blue hair in sideways. I laugh at him since he got a funny hairdo and he started crying until mother scolded me not to tease Kyle.

We rode for two hours before we arrive at the Shade household.

Earl Shade was my father's general and strategists. He was one of his friend who fight side by side with him in a war years ago and I am a bit acquainted with him since he always at out mansion whenever he need to say something to father.

I met Coleen Shade with her father when they welcome us after we arrived. She's a very cute little girl with short large curl brunette hair with big blue eyes. She's an innocent, docile and shy girl, very far from the in-game Coleen who has a fierce personality and poisonous tongue. I like the gown she wore, it complemented with her hair and pale complexion.

When I greeted her a 'happy birthday', she blushed and shyly said 'thank you'.

We talk a lot on the way. No. I was the one who was talking while she always stutters whenever she talked. She's way too cute and I love her shy personality.

On the way, I met the two in-game followers of Celine, Dianne and Jasmine.

Dianne de Moore is a daughter of a Marquis who has a fierily red hair and dark green eyes while her best friend, Jasmine O'Brien was a daughter of Viscount who has an apple green hair and a honey colored eyes.

Diane was wearing red and yellow gown while Jasmine was deep green gown. They look stunning with their beautiful gown.

We shared in the same table since Kyle was a male and the table position for male are on the left side of the garden while the female are in the right side.

As we talked, I learned that both of them love fashion trend and gossip that was why they became best of friends but they are also has a different personality. Dianne is a short-tempered and stubborn young girl while Jasmine is sweet yet has a poisonous tongue.

We also meet other two girls who was distanced to other young ladies in the party and since no one was trying to talk to them and be friend them, we invited them to share on our table.

They are Tanya and Michelle. Tanya Stavros is an Earl's daughter who has a white silver straight long hair and a ruby like eyes while Michelle Evans is a Baron's daughter who got a rare raven black hair and chocolate like eyes.

Tanya was wearing a black gown while Michelle gray colored gown. It is also the colored of their dress that isolated them from other girls as well as their unique personality. Tanya is a gothic like lady who likes dark color but she's a silent type girl (not a shy type but silent type) who doesn't talk much or likes to socialize with strangers while Michelle was a bit boyish and energetic young girl.

Our table is full of gossip and laughter. It is enjoyable to meet them especially their character was different from the game.

Coleen told us about her garden. We learned that she loves gardening and because I was the one who personally raised my herbs, we exchanges knowledge about gardening. She has the rare ability called green thumb that was good in taking care of a plants.

And since our topic leads to garden, she guided us to her very own flower garden.

Coleen has a shy personality who stutters when talking but whenever the topic talks about plants and gardening, her shy personality boost with confidence and she talks a lot.

On the way to the garden, we tease Coleen about this and she really flushed. Cute

As we laughed and joke on our way on Coleen's prized treasure flower garden, what welcomes us was a disaster.

We found a young girl same age of us with golden pink hair and pink eyes wearing a yellow gold gown picking the flowers to create a flower crown.

When Coleen saw this, she paled and her body started to shake from anger and grief, her tears also started to fell from her eyes.

She cried seeing her garden that she raised herself turned into a mess by someone she doesn't even know. Well, I think everyone will also cry from anger when they saw something they treasured ruined. If someone do the same with my herbs, I'm going to shoot her with my arrow and might kill her on the spot.

The pink haired girl saw us then her pink eyes lightens up and approach Coleen to give her (Coleen) the flower crown she (pink haired girl) made.

"You are Lady Coleen Shade, right? The birthday girl? Here, I made this for you" She innocently announces das she gave Coleen the flower crown but Coleen fiercely slap her hand and she fell to the ground. She started to tears while looking at us with aggrieved expression.

Before Coleen can say anything, Dianne shouts at her. "How dare you destroy her flowers?!"

"I uh—I just wanted to make her happy with my present" she said in a trembling voice

Is she blind? Did she not see Coleen's expression when she saw us? Did she not see Coleen's looking pale and a touch of tears in her face? Is she stupid or what?

"Happy? Are you stupid? Do you think by destroying her flowers and make it into a crown will make her happy?" Jasmine added.

"What the hell is happening here?!"

Before anyone of us can say anything, we heard a voice that interrupt us and saw his highness the crown prince arrived with his own entourage behind him... and my little brother is also with him.

Is it the start of the event? Did I unknowingly join the event that I am avoiding from the start?!
