I remember the days
When we used to lay in bed all night
And wake up just to have the sun hugging your silhouette.
And then Id ask,
"Why do you open the blinds this early?"
Everyday.
And she'd say
"I like the shine."
Everyday.
And now today
I resurrect from my sleep
Fingers yearning to touch the barrier
Between you and me
Racing to feel the sun
In my desperate attempt to feel
Your warmth on my skin again.
