Forgiveness

It was Tuesday now, after her talk with Rantaro the day before Maki felt a little better, less pressure on herself

But she still hadn't spoken to Kaito, Rantaro hold her she should listen if he has anything to say, so she decided if he tries to talk to her again she'd listen

As she approached her locker Kaede was waiting there "gooooood morning!" She said super cheerfully

"What's with you today?" Maki asked her unusually happy best friend

"It's just not having been bothered by those asses has put me in a good mood!" Kaede said happily

"Oh.." Maki replied then smiled slightly "Yeah it's great!" She lied

"Mhm!" Kaede replied "well I got to go to class see you at lunch!" She smiled then walked off happily

Maki sighed closing her locker, 'I should probably head off as well..' she thought

After her morning classes Maki walked back to her locker to put her stuff away so she could head to lunch

"Maki" She turned around to see Kaito standing there

"Can we please talk?"

Maki sighed and looked at a clock nearby "I don't have time"

"Then after school, please"

"...Okay..." Maki agreed

Kaito sighed in relief "thank you"

Maki quickly closed her locker then walked off

After school when she got to her locker Kaito was waiting there

"Come over" Was all he said before walking off, Maki watched him walk away

After getting her stuff she got in her car she took a deep breath before starting the car and driving to Kaito's, she knew he was already home because she recognized his car

After getting out she walked up to the door and lightly knocked, Kaito opened the door almost immediately after

"Come in" with that Maki slowly walked inside

After going into the living room and sitting down he finally started talking

"I know you must hate me a lot right now,and that you want nothing more then to punch me" Kaito started

"I know what I said was a huge dick move, and I'm sorry, I'm so sorry Maki"

"After you left the other day, I realized how bad it sounded"

"But I love you so so much, and I want to be with you more then anything, please Maki" he finished

"yeah" Maki replied, starting to cry she didn't even realize she was going to until she did

"Really??" Kaito asked his face lighting up

"Yes" Maki replied

"Good" Kaito replied then moved closer to her, placing his lips on hers, Maki returning his kiss

"I'll tell my friends tomorrow" he promised

"I'll do the same" Maki smiled before standing up "I should go"

"Okay, Bye" Kaito replied

"Bye" Maki smiled again before turning and leaving the house

When she got home she couldn't help but keep smiling like an idiot no matter what she was doing

That night, finally for the first time in a while Maki was able to sleep happily, and soundly.
