It was Sunday, the last day, today Maki had to admit defeat, because she let herself fall in love with Kaito, she didn't let herself fall in love with the cocky dick from school

She let herself fall in love with the fun, caring, happy Kaito, with the best smile and laugh you'd ever seen

How was Maki supposed to hell him she was in love with him? That he won?

How was she supposed to tell her friends she was in love with him, that she lost

She groaned and fell back on her bed "why do you do this to me Kaito?"

Later that day she got a text from Kaito to come over it was around 8;00 pm on Sunday but he insisted so she came, his mom was out of town so they didn't have to talk quietly

She approached the house and took a deep breath before knocking on the door

"Hey!" Kaito smiled once he opened the door

"Hey.." Maki replied

Kaito pulled her inside, she didn't resist anymore, she was to nervous at that point to do anything

As he dragged her into the living room, she tripped over herself causing both her and Kaito to fall

She closed her eyes as she fell, but to her surprise she didn't hit the ground, when she opened her eyes Kaito's face was right in front of her

She turned her head away looking legitimately anywhere else, until her brain made her look at Kaito again

Without even realizing what they were doing their lips touched, Maki felt that feeling in her stomach, but it was insane something she'd never felt before

A moment later they pulled apart, Maki's face was darker then her eyes as she looked at the ground "wow.." she mumbled

"This is just a guess and I may be wrong but, something tells me neither of us won"

It took Maki a moment to realize what he meant, when she did she looked at him, her face managing to get even darker

"Do you mean you—?" Kaito cut her off

"Yeah" he replied

Maki slowly pulled him into a hug leaning her head on his shoulder

"I told you I could get you to fall in love with me" he whispered before hugging her back

"yeah.., guess you did" she replied

"What are we gonna do?" She asked still hugging him

"What do you mean?" He asked

"About this, us, Whatever this is"

"We can just say you won" he replied

"That's it..?"

"Yeah what else is there? If we say you won you won't have to tell your friends you lost and I won't have to tell mine I love you"

"it's just ending?"

"Yeah"

"so I'm just like all the others then.."

"What do you mean Maki?"

"I mean.., I still ended up being like the rest, led on.., then left" she replied trying not to start crying

"Maki it's not like that"

"Yes it is! You say you love me but you won't do anything about it! I'm just like every other girl" Maki replied starting to cry

"I'm willing to tell my friends, I'm willing to risk all these friendships because of you, you obviously aren't, you're the same guy here as you are at school, you lead someone on then leave them" She said before standing up

"Maki where are you going?!"

"Home. Because I don't need to be anymore humiliated, to think I actually fell in love with you, and you say you love me too but you don't have the fucking guts to tell your friends you're actually in love" she said, tears streaming down her face as she opened the door and left slamming it behind her

She ran to her car crying, as soon as she got in she totally broke down "I hate him, I hate him so much"

Kaito sat on the ground realizing what he just did "DAMNIT" he yelled "damnit"

Once Maki got home she locked herself in her room and after changing she laid in bed crying, until she was able to cry herself to sleep
